🐾 FeLV+ Kittens Looking for Special Homes 🐾
About six weeks ago, a good Samaritan brought four kittens to us at Wheeling Veterinary Associates. After multiple rounds of testing, all four tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV).
💛 Despite their diagnosis, you would never know it—they are some of the happiest, wildest, most affectionate kittens, full of personality, energy, and love.
✨ What does FeLV mean?
FeLV affects a cat’s immune system, making them more susceptible to infections and illness over time.
⚠️ We want to be completely upfront:
FeLV+ cats have an average lifespan of around 2–3 years after diagnosis. Some may pass sooner, while others can live longer—but their lifespan is typically shorter than cats without FeLV.
🏡 Home Requirements
• Must be indoor-only
• Must be the only cats in the home or live with other FeLV+ cats
💛 Ideally, we’d love to see them adopted in pairs, but we understand that may not always be possible.
🩺 Adoption Details
• Will be spayed/neutered
• Will be up to date on vaccines
💬 These kittens may require additional veterinary care in the future, and their time may be more limited—but they will give you an incredible amount of love in return.
💌 Interested in adopting or learning more?
Please call Wheeling Veterinary Associates or send us a message. We want to ensure adopters are fully educated and prepared to give these babies the special homes they deserve.
💛 They didn’t choose this diagnosis—but they absolutely deserve a chance at a happy, loved life, no matter how long that may be.
We have three females and one male, introducing Bosley, Jill, Kelly, and Sabrina ❤️
