Nabil and Nizhoni showed up and showed off at the RMDS Championship Show this weekend! The partnership between these two is incredible and was so apparent as they navigated such a busy venue and challenging weather/footing; it's a beautiful thing to watch as a coach.

Congratulations to this pair and all of their fellow riders as we close out the season with a great show. Thank you Rocky Mountain Dressage Society RMDS for a well run show with such dedicated staff and volunteers.

We took a couple of horses to town, thankfully it wasn't far 😉

Students have been finding some creative ways to beat the heat lately. Learning new skills like braiding, ba****ck riding, and navigating obstacles are great ways to keep the learning fun and exciting without getting horses or riders too hot and sweaty.

A little late on the social media post, but holy cow what a weekend! Riders from Hidden Lane Stable had a great time at the Boulder Valley Dressage at the Fairgrounds show! It was a show of firsts for everyone! New horse, new level, new to dressage shows... and everyone did fantastic!

🎉 Nabil and Nizhoni rocked it and qualified for RMDS championships at Training Level at their first USEF show ever!

🧊 Ice had his First Level debut this weekend with a 64% on Sunday; the baby horse is growing up!

💜 Kathy and Sara did a wonderful job with Iris, these ladies did their first dressage show!

🐴 Arlo tagged along and tried his hoof at a few tests, we're so excited to see him in the arena more next year!

Thanks to all of the volunteers and officials who make our Colorado dressage season possible! This truly is a favorite show of ours every year.

Show Prep Week was a great success! Riders gained SO much knowledge in a short amount of time, it was incredible to see such growth in these young riders! Thank you to all of the amazing guests who helped us throughout the week! And a special thank you to Hidden Lane Stable for hosting us!

Monday- Riders rode in pairs, some of them for the first time ever! We introduced new horses, learned the patterns for the show, and practiced showmanship. Campers also got to practice their braiding skills for the first time.

Tuesday- Campers made a check list to make sure they wouldn't forget anything when packing for a horse show, then they had to load everything into the trailer; even the horse! Ms. Tia was nice enough to join us for lunch and teach us about all the different classes at a horse show and what we could expect to see. We even learned how the different classes are judged!

Wednesday- Thanks Dr. Finn for adjusting Arlo and teaching us about equine chiropractic work. Campers got to learn about the benefits for the horse, as well as a bit of career exploration. After our ride Ms. Erika came to teach us a little bit about the importance of rider fitness and how we can help ourselves help our horses.

Thursday- Ah! The week is coming to a close and we have so much to do still! Riders were busy busy bees riding, cleaning tack, bathing horses, and polishing up their showmanship skills.

Friday- Today's the day! Its show time! Riders worked together to get their horses show ring ready! Clean tack went on clean horses with beautifully braided necks. These young riders really did well and showed excellent horsemanship and sportsmanship!
