Now that the CFA 2024 - 2025 has come to a close, I am very proud to share the accomplishments that I had no idea I would be sharing when the season started.

Duchess: what started as let's just grand her and get her started towards a GPD ended the season with Duchess being GSR's Fourth Best Cat in Premiership!

Saoirse: I cannot thank Camille of Take the Moon enough for my first tortie! I love this girl to pieces and she was so much fun to show. I always loved torties, and I'm so proud of mine. Saoirse ended the season as GSR's 16th Best Cat in Championship and GSR's Best Particolor Persian! I'm so excited for the next phase of my red era!

Jester: A regional kitten winner last season, I didn't get him granded before season end. Then the stinker dropped his coat! It took until December for me to think he looked okay enough to try for those last 40 points, which he got at the Show Me CF Christmas show...and I promptly shaved him when it was official!

Evvie: my surprise 8 month old new grand! The youngest I've ever had a cat of my own breeding grand, and I wasn't even the first to figure it out.🤣

This has been a season for personal accomplishments too! I clerked solo for the first and second time, and have a new appreciation for that job.

I had the best surprise this weekend. I wasn't able to calculate my girls' points throughout the day as is my norm since I was clerking. I knew she'd be close by shows end, but didn't imagine I'd get to take home a Wonderland themed new grand rosette (I still didn't as they were all taken).

Well, I waited until it was Herman official, but I knew Sunday.....

Evvie granded in three shows at 8 months old and she's certainly a special surprise since she still has her baby eye color! (my cat's adult eye color develops between 10 to 12 months)

Oh, and I haven't even gotten her pictures done yet! 😅

Saoirse got her final points Saturday at the Ozark Cat Fanciers show in Arlington Texas and I got to show her as a grand today!

I love this girl so much and I am so thankful Camille let me have her!

Altaris is very pleased to announce our newest Grand Champion!

Grand Champion, Regional Winner Altaris Jester King!

Jester granded this Saturday at the Show Me Cat Fanciers show in Neosho Missouri. He aged out into the adult class in March and had been making good progress towards his grand until he had a bit of a health scare with a UTI + crystals. Naturally he blew coat, but recovered well. I didn't think he was ready to come back out, but I'm so glad that I was talked into bringing him!

Jester is a gentle giant like his grandfather GC Altaris A Special Delivery imoC (Colin - I lost to old age a few years ago). Colin was my first homebred grand, and Jester is my first homebred regional winner (and first kitten regional winner).

Big thanks to the Alamo City Cat Club for putting on yet another fun show! This is a show I enjoy attending and really missed not being able to attend last year.

I only took two cats and while I wanted to enter more kittens, they didn't turn four months old until Sunday! So while this was a smaller show this year, it was still great to visit with friends and meet new people, new exhibitors and spectators alike.

I must say many thanks to the judges who found room in their finals for my girls. TakeTheMoon Sriracha of Altaris (Saoirse) was highest scoring kitten, with two Best Kitten placements! Saoirse just purred and played all day long, this time being the one to chomp her feather into oblivion. GP Altaris Inferno Everlasting (Duchess) made Richard Katris work hard for the photos by trying to climb onto me, so much so, Richard had me switching sides of table to get her moving 🤣

Richard came through and got me some beautiful pictures of the girls!

Super special shout out and so many thanks to Carissa Altschul for the loan of static spray...because I forgot my grooming bag in my hotel room 45 minutes away! (First time I've done that EVER 😓) I had the cat comb and eye drops I keep in my purse, and face cloths... no panic here! I worked minimalist like I did in my teens, (praying hard for no disasters), but boy I sure missed having my grooming bag!
