**** 3/28 😢 the meeting for Saturday for Milo was cancelled, the adopter didnt feel it was the right match. Glad for the honesty but really feeling defeated. We’re looking forany other applications but it’s not looking promising. 🤯 hes a tiny, young dog and no one wants him. If he ends up in boarding on Monday he will not last long mentally so his life is essentially on the line. You cannot set up a dog to fail and we are out of options. Please help! If you have no pets and no kids and ready to commit to life with Milo, pleaseeese apply.

3/27 - Milo had a meet this evening and he was a frighted by a new person but by end if the visit he was taking treats from her! Big boy progress 😭 hes trying so hard to be brave!! They will bave a sexond meet on Saturday morning and remain with his foster for an extra two days!! Please pray for our little baby that he can keep being brave and have a great 2nd meet. This would be the forever perfect home forr him!

Last call for Milo, he goes to a big scary boarding facility on Friday and it’s ripping our hearts out 💔
Soooo many people wasted his time by applying and then disappearing. . . As a result Milo, just 10 lbs and 3 years old will live indefinitely at a noisey boarding facility as of Friday. It’s beyond comprehension to all of us who know this sweet dog. If this is his fate, all of his progress will come undone. Milo will quickly decline in this type of environment from kennel stress because he can’t handle it. Have you ever seen a dog suffering from kennel stress?
When he first came to BARC CT he was terrified and while trying to figure out his needs, he bit two times on the hand. He meant no harm beyond trying to say “I’m scared you’re going to hurt me” We worked with Milo and a pro to figure out his triggers: living with other dogs and chaos. Once we moved him to a home where his boundaries could be respect, he’s never had an incident again. In fact hes totally transformed and he’s the happiest and sweetest dog. Milo is a loving little guy who just doesn’t want to live with kids or dogs. It’s really simple. He enjoys calm energy and chasing tennis balls, food, car rides. Unclear why this poor dog has been without a home but it’s just crazy. He’s 3 years old and ten lbs, neutered and up to date.
