After 3.5 incredible years, countless dogs, lifelong friendships, and more memories than I could ever put into words… it’s time for me to officially close this chapter. 🤍

On June 20, I’ll be moving from Westmoreland, Tennessee to Boise, Idaho, and with that, 4 Paws Canine Training will officially be closing its doors here in Tennessee.

This business has been one of the most fulfilling, challenging, emotional, rewarding, exhausting, beautiful experiences of my life. From the very first client to where we are now, I poured my heart into every dog, every family, every early morning, every late night, every win, every setback, and every moment in between. The support this community has shown me over the years is something I will carry with me forever.

To every client who trusted me with your dogs — thank you. Thank you for believing in me, supporting my small business, referring your friends, celebrating the wins with me, and allowing me to be part of your dogs’ lives. The impact this community has had on me is immeasurable, and I truly hope I’ve left even a fraction of that impact behind with all of you.

For boarding referrals moving forward, all referrals will be sent to Bayleigh, and she may take referral clients at her discretion(I’ll tag her in the post so reach out directly to her for boarding needs). I know many of you have trusted me with your pets for years, and it means a lot to be able to pass those recommendations along to someone I trust. 🖤

Before I leave, I’d truly love to see as many of you as possible one last time. I’ll be hanging out at 6th & Peabody in Nashville on Wednesday, June 17 for a few hours — come hang out, bring your dog, grab a drink, and let me say goodbye to both you and your pup one last time. 🖤

This goodbye is bittersweet in every way, but I’m deeply grateful for the last 3.5 years and everything this journey has taught me. Tennessee will always hold such a special place in my heart.

Here’s to new beginnings, even when they’re hard. 🖤

Welcome ✨Ollie✨
Ollie is a 10 week old Mini Bernedoodle puppy here for two weeks! While Ollie is here we’ll be focusing on potty training and crate training, proper socialization and exposure, confidence building and getting a jumpstart on her basic training!

Ollie is the last dog that I’ll have the pleasure with doing a board & train with before I move out east!(post to come on that) ✨🖤

Make sure you follow along her progress in the stories!✨🖤

These are the 5 most common issues I’ve seen being in this industry as long as I have ✨🖤

1. Inconsistency
One day the dog is allowed on the couch, the next day they’re corrected for it. One person allows pulling on leash, another doesn’t. Dogs learn through repetition and patterns, so inconsistent rules create confusion and slow progress dramatically.

2. Waiting Too Long to Address Behavioral Issues
A lot of owners hope behaviors like reactivity, resource guarding, separation anxiety, jumping, or leash pulling will “grow out of it.” Most behaviors get stronger the longer they’re rehearsed. Early intervention is one of the biggest keys to success.

3. Only Training in the House
A dog that listens perfectly in the living room often falls apart in public because they haven’t generalized the behavior. Real obedience comes from proofing commands around distractions, new environments, people, dogs, smells, noises, and movement.

4. Focusing Only on Commands Instead of Emotional State
Owners often try to “correct” the outward behavior without addressing the dog’s underlying mindset. Fearful, overstimulated, anxious, or under-fulfilled dogs struggle to truly learn. Emotional regulation and proper fulfillment are huge pieces of successful training.

5. Not doing breed research
we see this time and time again the owner that got the Aussie that wants it to be a couch potato. Or the German shorthair pointer that’s chasing birds and the owner wants it to not do that. Or even the protection breed that naturally is more on the aloof Koi side to strangers, but the owner wants it to be a social butterfly. We need to make sure we are properly educating people on breeds and what these dogs are bred for versus just adopting or shopping for a dog because it’s “cute”

if you’re a dog trainer, what are some things that you have seen over the years that we can add to this list? 🖤✨

Welcome ✨Belly✨
Belly is a six month old American Staffordshire terrier mix & a alum here for the next month for training! Over the next four weeks will be covering all of her basic manners and obedience, lots of confidence building and making sure she’s a well-rounded girl that can live a happy life! Belly also has some stranger danger when people enter her home so we’ll really be focusing on including her in day-to-day activities to help build her confidence through real world experiences!

We’re so excited to have her and her family on board and to be able to help another family! Make sure to hype her up in the comments and stay tuned in stories for her transformation! 🖤🖤

🚨 LAST 2 BOARD & TRAIN SPOTS 🚨

I have just TWO board & train openings left for the rest of summer, starting Monday, May 4th.

For these final spots, I wanted to do something big—
book a 3-week program & get the 4th week FREE.

I don’t run discounts like this, but I wanted to offer something meaningful for the last dogs I take on.

Preference will be given to puppies, previous clients wanting refresher courses and non-behavior modification cases.

Also being fully transparent—
once these two spots are filled, I will no longer be offering board & train programs & will be completely rebranding.(stay tuned✨)

If you’ve been wanting to work with me, this is your chance to make it happen.

📩 Message me “LASTCALL” to grab one of the last spots before they’re gone.
