Ever wonder why cats do the things they do? 🐾
Here are some fun feline facts that make our little weirdos even more lovable:

😻 Why do cats purr?
Purring isn’t just for when they’re happy (although that’s the best kind). Cats also purr when they’re stressed, hurt, or trying to comfort themselves. It’s thought that the vibration can actually help them heal and relax. So yes… your cat is basically a tiny vibrating therapy machine.

🥐 Why do they “make biscuits”?
That kneading motion goes all the way back to kittenhood, when they kneaded their mom to help with milk flow. As adults, it usually means they feel safe, comfy, and totally at home. Congrats — you’ve been chosen as premium dough.

😴 Why do cats sleep SO much?
Cats can sleep 12–18 hours a day because they’re natural-born hunters. Even indoor cats are hard-wired to conserve energy for chasing prey. Your cat isn’t lazy… they’re just preparing for the extremely dangerous task of sprinting down the hallway at 3am.

🙃 Why do they knock things over??
Sometimes it’s curiosity, sometimes it’s boredom, and sometimes it’s just to see what happens. Cats learn by touching and batting things — and if it gets your attention, that’s a bonus. Science experiment + chaos = peak cat behavior.

🐭 Why do they hunt even when they’re well fed?
Hunting isn’t about hunger — it’s instinct. Cats are predators at heart, so stalking, chasing, and pouncing is basically their version of playing video games. That toy mouse didn’t stand a chance.

Basically… cats are adorable little bundles of instinct, attitude, and mystery, and we love them for every dramatic nap, every flying object, and every surprise ankle attack. Wouldn’t trade it for anything. 🖤🐈

Litter box changes are one of the most important signals cats give us. 🚨
Going more often, straining, or avoiding the box can point to urinary or stress issues.
These problems can become serious very quickly in cats.
Any sudden change is worth paying attention to and acting on fast.
Do you keep track of your cat’s litter habits?

Small changes in your cat’s behavior can mean more than you think. 🐱

Cats often hide pain, so things like sleeping more, grooming less, or eating differently can be early signs of discomfort.
These changes usually appear before more serious symptoms.
Noticing patterns in your cat’s daily routine helps you catch problems earlier.

Have you ever noticed a small change that turned out to be important?

A few things worth knowing about cats:

• Cats have more than 20 muscles in each ear, allowing them to isolate and track sounds with precision.
• Play behavior in cats closely mirrors hunting and is essential for mental stimulation.
• Many cats respond better to natural textures and materials than synthetic ones.

Understanding how cats experience the world helps inform better enrichment and more thoughtful product choices.

Cats can make over 100 different sounds — while dogs only make about 10. 🎶

From meows to trills to chirps, each sound has a meaning. (And yes, some of those sounds are reserved just for their humans!)

Why do cats love boxes so much? 📦🐱

Boxes provide warmth, security, and a great hiding spot. In the wild, small spaces keep them safe from predators while giving them a vantage point to stalk prey.

Your cat’s nose print is as unique as a human fingerprint. 👃

No two cats have the same nose pattern — each one is one-of-a-kind, just like them.

Did you know cats walk like camels and giraffes? 🐪🦒🐱

When they walk, both right feet move first, then both left feet — a unique gait shared by only a few animals in the world.

Cats don’t just use their whiskers for cuteness — they’re incredible sensory tools. ✨

Whiskers help them detect changes in air currents, judge spaces, and even sense nearby objects in the dark.

Cats can rotate their ears a full 180 degrees! 👂

With over 30 muscles controlling each ear, they can pinpoint even the faintest sound — perfect for hunting… or just hearing you open the treat bag from across the house.

Ever notice your cat kneading with their paws? 🐾

This “biscuit-making” behavior goes back to kittenhood — when kittens knead their mothers to stimulate milk flow. As adults, it’s a sign of comfort, happiness, and love. 💛
