• KMR or Shelter’s Choice Kitten Formula/Powder (URGENT NEED)
• Bath-sized towels (gently used & clean accepted) (URGENT NEED)
• Purina Kitten Chow
• Purina Cat Chow (URGENT NEED)
• Size large disposable exam gloves
• Miracle Ni***es for kitten feeding

Sweetie Pie is an 8-year-old, 57-pound spayed Husky searching for a patient and understanding home.

After losing her beloved owner and experiencing several major life changes, Sweetie Pie arrived at the shelter scared and unsure of the world around her. She can be shy with new people and needs time to build trust, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality begins to shine.

This gentle girl loves quiet companionship, enjoys laying beside her favorite person, and firmly believes she's a lap dog. Staff have been helping her learn leash skills for the first time in her life, and she's already making progress.

Sweetie Pie is looking for a calm home with adopters who will give her the time and patience she needs to settle in and blossom. The reward? A loyal companion and a truly special bond.

Fawn is a 3–4-year-old sweetheart who came to the shelter as a stray. She arrived wearing a collar, meaning she once belonged to someone—but sadly, no one ever came looking for her.

Now this 54-pound girl is searching for a fresh start and a family of her own. Fawn is active, affectionate, and loves spending time with people. She would make a wonderful hiking partner, walking buddy, or companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle.

Like many shelter dogs, Fawn could use some basic training and structure, but she's eager to learn and has so much potential. All she needs is someone willing to give her a chance.

🐾 We’re excited to announce HSCC’s participation in Foster 50, a national program designed to increase pet fostering across the U.S. ❤️

This initiative brings together animal shelters, foster-based rescues, and pet lovers—like YOU—to raise awareness about the power of fostering and how even one night outside the shelter can change a pet’s life.

According to our friends at Maddie’s Fund, dogs who spend time in foster care — even just one foster sleepover — are 14 times more likely to get adopted.

Dogs and cats who spend time in foster care before adoption are also less likely to be returned after adoption, helping create more successful forever matches.

Did you know the shelter has a Barn Cat Placement Program? 🐱

These cats may not be suited for traditional home life, but they thrive in barn, farm, or outbuilding settings—like a shed, garage, vineyard, or warehouse—where they can live comfortably while keeping pests away.

✅ We recommend adopting barn cats in pairs—they love having a buddy!

All barn cats are fully vetted, including:
✔️ Spayed/neutered
✔️ FIV/FELV tested negative
✔️ Microchipped & ear tipped
✔️ Dewormed & flea/tick treated
✔️ Rabies + distemper vaccinated

🐾 Meet Shala! 🐾

Shala is a 2-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix who is ready for a fresh start. After being returned to the shelter, she's still waiting for a family willing to see the amazing dog she truly is.

This 63-pound girl loves to run, play, and chase tennis balls. She enjoys adventures with her people, does great with other dogs, and would love a canine companion in her new home. Shala is also working hard on her leash skills and improving every day.

Her favorite treat? Yogurt with bananas! 🍌

Shala is looking for a loving home without cats and a family that will give her the forever commitment she deserves.

These simple items help keep animals comfortable, provide bedding, assist with cleaning, and make a big difference in their daily care.
