I don't like to post about personal things in my life but feel I have no choice with the chicken craziness that is currently going on. I'm getting lots of messages daily that I just can't respond to at this time.

I'm currently caring for my mother who is dieing from cancer and is on hospice care. Most of my time is spent caring for her and just trying to keep my household running. Then yesterday my son in law passed away unexpectedly.
I'm sorry if I can't reply right away or at all right now, but my family needs me right now.
I will have some chicks available in early April and will try to get posts up when they are here

Breeding nice birds is hard work, and sometimes the combination doesn't work so then it's back to the drawing board. Make changes and try again.
You can literally hatch hundreds to get one or two that will compete well in the show hall. A good breeder is always working to try to improve the next generation of babies. Not every egg has a champion bird in it. More than likely its the one you dropped on the way to the house 🤣🤣🤣😥

Took a little video of my splash/blue pen. Two are trying to be broody and some of the poor girls are lacking their top knots. Then there is tiny little Hoochie, lol she is from my good friend Melanie from Starry Acres. She is a favorite 😍 so much personality
