We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit all breed Michigan dog rescue dedicated to saving dogs and puppies in Michigan and Ohio that is foster based in the Metro Detroit area. We are dedicated to saving dogs and puppies in Michigan and Ohio. We will occasionally take in cats, kittens, pet birds, and bunnies on an as needed basis.

Truffle - the last of our Mushroom pups - had A LOT of interest & we are beyond thrilled she landed in the best home with over an acre fenced in, another pup & two paw-rents who have lovingly committed to their rescue dogs for years.

Her new family met her & took her home yesterday. She is settling in well & loves cuddling her new family.

We wish we had 50 more Truffles to adopt out to all of the wonderful applicants. Please follow along for future adoptable pups & thank you to everyone who is choosing to adopt a rescued pup - simply amazing!

❤️‍🩹 These babies are safe!!! Parents will be spayed / neutered!!! ❤️‍🩹

We saw this post of puppies being given away & acted as quickly as possible. All are safe & will receive vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip!

There are 13!!! We have split with another amazing rescue.

We are in desperate need of puppy food & potty pads, along with monetary donations for medical care.

We can’t save these babies without all of you - every donation is crucial to their lives. The Iams puppy dry food has coupons & is a great price!

This beautiful girl is Truffle & she’s the LAST of the simply amazing Mushroom Pups 🍄❤️‍🩹

All of the pups have found THE BEST homes & now it’s little miss Truffle’s turn!

She is a gorgeous brindle with a white chest, white chin & the cutest socks with beautiful green/grey eyes 😍

She is an almost 11 week old cutie who weighs in at 11 pounds. She is sweet, friendly, cuddly, playful & likes other dogs.

I don’t understand why people arent knocking down doors for me! I’m a great little guy and im a cheap date! For only $325 you can bring me home. This covers neuter, vaccines, and a microchip Let me introduce myself. My name is Cooper, I turned two in April, I’m a 15 pound Maltese/chihuahua mix. I’m housebroken, and get along with dogs, cats, chickens, and whatever else they have here. I’m very agreeable to just about anything. Do you need a buddy for outdoor activities? I’m your guy!

These two cuties have had zero interest. Not one question. Not one inquiry. Not one ounce of interest from anyone anywhere. 😭😭😭

We always hear - they’re puppies, they’ll find homes fast - the unfortunate reality is there are so many animals in need & not enough adopters ❤️‍🩹

Morel is Mr. Smiley with pretty grey eyes, a white chin & a small white spot on his chest with a super shiny coat. Portobello also has gorgeous grey eyes, wears socks & has a large white chest.

Morel & Portobello are some of the sweetest pups around! Morel is super chill & will take a toy to a dog bed to play & Portobello also enjoys a good cuddle session followed by toys. They both love treats & are super food motivated.

They are 8 weeks & can go home next weekend. Momma is 45 pounds.

P.O.E.T. Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Charitable Organization all breed dog and cat rescue. We established in 2012 to support the animals of Michigan and beyond.

The mission of P.O.E.T. Animal Rescue is to educate individuals on the needs of their pets and the growing problem that is pet overpopulation; to rescue and save the unwanted and at-risk dogs, cats, kittens and puppies who are crowding our shelters; to prevent future pet surrenders to high risk shelters by the education of their owners; spaying and neutering companion animals; responsible purchasing and adopting; behavior modification; solutions to behavior challenges; resources to help owners keep their pets safe, healthy and happy.
