Lars - 10 year old 16 hh appendix gelding offered for sale due to farm closing. Reliable school horse. Jumps up to 2'3" and knows basic dressage. He does not have his changes. He is a riding school favorite and very sweet and easy to handle on the ground. Does not spook, buck, or misbehave in any way. He is the same horse inside, outside or on a trail ride. To our loyal customers and friends:

We have decided to close Volo Farm on November 15, 2016. For the past fourteen years, we have provided top quality care and training to both horses and riders. I am proud of what we have accomplished and deeply grateful to everyone who has played a role in this journey. I especially want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our staff. They have always treasured the horses and supported the development of many riders.

The decision to close the farm was not an easy one. My daughters grew up here. A generation of children grew up here, learning from each other and the kindness of patient and willing horses. I will always cherish the memories we’ve built, the potential we’ve unlocked, and the dreams we’ve realized together.

Unfortunately, this is a tough business. From the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry to say that it is no longer financially sustainable for my family to continue this project for which I hold so much love.

I remain committed to the welfare of each and every horse in this barn, and that includes finding our school horses good quality homes. We will continue to provide boarding, training, and lesson services through the close of business on November 15th. We very much want to ensure that this transition is as smooth as possible.

Thank you for your support and trust over the past fourteen years. We’ve been blessed to have you as part of the Volo family. I wish you all the best in your equestrian endeavors.
