🌸🐾 Happy First Day of Spring! 🐾🌸

As we welcome warmer weather and longer days, it’s the perfect time to get outside with our furry companions—but spring also brings some seasonal risks to keep on your radar. Here are a few reminders to help keep your pets safe and healthy:

🌼 Watch Those Flowers
Some popular spring blooms (like lilies, tulips, and daffodils) can be toxic to pets if ingested.

🌱 Yard Treatments & Chemicals
Fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides can irritate paws or be harmful if licked. Always store products safely and follow application guidelines.

🐝 Bees & Wasps
Curious noses can lead to stings! Keep an eye out for swelling or allergic reactions.

🤧 Seasonal Allergies
Just like us, pets can suffer from environmental allergens—look for itching, licking, or red skin.

🦟 Mosquitoes, Fleas & Ticks
Parasites are back in action—make sure your pet is up to date on preventatives. Please make sure to reach out to your primary veterinarian about preventatives.

🦨 Increased Wildlife Activity
With warmer weather, wildlife is more active. Be cautious of encounters with skunks, rabbits, foxes, opossums, and rodents, which can pose risks such as bites, scratches, or disease transmission.

🚪 Check Fences & Enclosures
Winter weather can cause damage—inspect for gaps or weak spots to prevent escapes.

🧴 Household Cleaners
Spring cleaning? Keep pets away from freshly cleaned surfaces and store products securely.

🚨 Need Help? We’re Here 24/7
If you think your pet may have encountered any of these spring hazards, please reach out to our Emergency Department, open 24/7 at 978-577-6525.

Let’s make this season safe, happy, and full of tail wags and purrs! 🌷🐶🐱

We are delighted to celebrate the 10th birthday of one of our neurology and physical rehabilitation patients, Bucky! Bucky is thriving after undergoing a hemilaminectomy in October 2025 following a diagnosis of IVDD by Dr. Wilmarth. Bucky has been receiving care from our team, particularly Dr. Palmer, a certified rehabilitation therapist. We are pleased to see Bucky's steady progress and improvement in his hind end mobility. Bucky's owner’s dedication to his rehabilitation program has been outstanding, and we are proud of Bucky’s accomplishments. He is such a nice boy!💙Happy Birthday, Bucky!🎉We wish you continued success in your recovery and so glad we can be a part of it!🐾🐶🧁
