To leash or not to leash?
That is the question....
There is also a link in the comments which states decent arguments to let your dog off leash.
I'm of the off leash camp. I feel like dogs are like adolescents, needing to burn energy, get stimuli from their surroundings, and learn from mistakes. I also try to bring off leash dogs to areas that we're probably not going to run into leashed dogs or other people.
Train your dogs, know your dogs, and "read the room" to act accordingly.
