🏇🐴 EXTREME OBSTACLE RACE UPDATE! 🐴🏇

The patterns are officially posted! Please keep in mind that there may be minor changes on the day of the event. If you have any questions about the course, don’t hesitate to ask!

⏰ Race start time is approximately 10:00 AM. We will hold a Riders Meeting before the event to review the patterns and answer any last-minute questions.

🔥 OPEN ARENA THIS SATURDAY! 🔥
Some obstacles will be set up for practice. You may work individual obstacles, but you CANNOT run the full pattern. This is open to anyone, even if you’re not coming Sunday. $20 per person

Can’t make it Saturday? No problem! We’ll allow warm-ups Sunday morning before the race. Again, you may warm up on individual obstacles only—you cannot run the course.

💰 Class Fees:
• Open – $50
• Walk-Trot-Canter – $30
• Walk-Trot – $30
• In-Hand – $20

⚠️ Riders may only enter ONE riding division. However, you MAY enter both an In-Hand class and a riding class.

Looking at the patterns and feeling a little intimidated? That’s okay! This is called an EXTREME Obstacle Race for a reason—it’s meant to challenge both horse and rider. But remember, this event is all about having fun, learning, and supporting one another. Don’t let the patterns scare you away!

You’ll find a great group of supportive people, a fun atmosphere, and plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself and your horse.

Open has a minor requirement.

There may be minor changes day of the event.

If you’re attending our intro to cattle clinics this weekend, please review the following information. This applies for both days!

🔵Clinic starts at 10am. You can come anytime after 9am to get your horse accumulated.

🔵The parking comes up before the house address so just go slow as were the first property on the right. There is a sign for parking.

🔵You can cross the creek to get to our arenas or you can go out of the gate and pop over the road.

🔵Pretty much any road is safe but please avoid Lafleure Road. This is pretty much a four wheeler path! Additionally, we have a lot of tractors and Amish in our area with no road shoulder so just be mindful.

🔵We have a water spicket down by the arena for water.

Nailed down our patterns for the first Elk Creek Quarter Horses Extreme Obstacle Race 1 - 3 Show Buckle Series and I can’t wait to get them written up and posted for you guys. 😬 should have them up by the end of the week! They’re good ones. 😉

Sand is in. 😍

We love this new addition! This gives us our entire arena for warm up space, a dynamic space for obstacles, and eventually we will be adding a removable gate in the middle to provide two round pens for training. 🐴

June is right around the corner and we’re going to be busy!

We have spots open for our introduction to cattle clinic. 1 open for Saturday and 3 open for Sunday.

We have super fun patterns for our first obstacle race of the year! Sign ups are open. If you are planning on coming, sign up so we have a good idea of the number of entries!

We are having our Vendor Fair and Tack Swap on June 28- we still have space available! Only $10 for a spot. We have a great vendor line up and some yummy desserts being sold!
