Our growouts have started to crow. That means it's time once again to thin out some boys.
We've been calling this fella Pinecone. He's a bantam cochin frizzle.
He is looking for a new coop. Is not free and is located in Westfield 16950.

Just some November chicken cuteness. These growouts are about 2 weeks old and are exactly what we wanted from Pistachio and Danny. They just got a an upgrade to their pen. Stay tuned to watch them growout and maybe get your hands on wits end Muppet bird!

These birds are amoung TSC many mess ups. The Pioneer Turken.
Mislabeled and sold as Turken.
These are meat birds. We've got a local friend who will process them and they will not be "wasted" if they get too heavy for their bodies... but I wasn't looking for meat birds.
It's a sad mistake and I've seen it echoed across many chicken groups.
Sure I'll get my money back and the birds will be used for their intended purpose having had a good life in the swamp; but I still won't have turkens.
We're giving them a chance but my hopes aren't high.
