Like many shelters we are at capacity, but that doesn't mean we stop helping the community. We recently had a call about newborn kittens found outside, that the young mom was rejecting. The wonderful people who found them supplemented with bottle feeding but that was not a long term solution. Although we are full and unfortunately did not have a nursing mom at our shelter, we had a conversation. We gave tips on how to best care for the neonate kittens while we helped look for a sustainable option. We were able to connect with another rescue that had a nursing mom willing to see if she would accept them and our volunteer transported them there. We are a tiny shelter, so our space fills up quickly and our staff and volunteers are working around the clock, but that doesn't stop us from doing our best to help the communities around us. If you'd like to become a foster or volunteer at our shelter please check out our website or send us an email. Pictured below are the newborn babies with their new mom and we hear they are doing very well.
