Theo is an adorable Havanese. His ears were matted and we were so nervous about shaving them. Turns out he looked really cute and his family loved his new look! Brushing and combing is the best way to prevent matting. But sometimes life gets busy and matting happens. It’s ok! Sometimes minimal matting can be removed without compromising the fluffy length of their haircut. When matting is moderate to severe, the safest and most humane way to remove it is to shave it. It grows back. They will be fluffy again before you know it! If you have any questions about preventing matting, just ask!
