We’d like to share that Dr. Kasey Aona will be leaving GoodVets in early January, and we wish her all the best in what’s next.

Dr. Aona wanted to share a message personally with the clients she’s had the privilege of caring for:

“Taking care of your pets has been incredibly meaningful to me, and I’m so thankful for the trust you’ve placed in me over the years. I’ve truly loved being part of this community and working alongside such a caring team. While my time at GoodVets is coming to an end, I know your pets will continue to receive thoughtful, high-quality care here. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your pets’ lives.”

Join us in welcoming Dr. Ethan Pope to GoodVets New Albany! 🐾

Dr. Pope received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Connecticut College and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 🧑‍🔬🧪

He has a special interest in clinical pathology, emergency medicine, cardiology and preventative care 🆘💙

Dr. Pope spends his free time with his partner, Abby, and their two Goldens, Moose and Malibu. When not at work, he enjoys going on hikes, camping, playing golf and hockey, hosting game nights and cheering on Aggie college football 🏈🫶🏻

We know you and your pets will love him as much as we already do!

A personal update from Dr. Weidner:

Dear valued clients & pets🐾,
It is with mixed emotions I announce I will be leaving GoodVets New Albany. After much thought, I’ve accepted an opportunity closer to home that will allow more time spent with my young family. My last day at GoodVets New Albany will be July 17th.

It has been such a joy getting to care for your amazing pets and I’m so grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me over the last few years. If you’d like to see me before I go, feel free to book an appointment!

Thanks so much for all the love and the opportunity to be part of your pets’ lives. I will miss you all dearly🤍

✨Join us in welcoming Dr. Matthew Romero to our GoodVets Polaris team!✨

Dr. Romero graduated veterinary school from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and did a clinical year at the University of Illinois. Following veterinary school, he completed a small animal rotating internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital and two surgical internships at Virginia Veterinary Surgical Associates and New England Animal Medical Center. He has since been practicing in Columbus for the last 4 years in small animal general practice.

Dr. Romero has a special interest in surgery and is trained in several specialty orthopedic and soft tissue procedures. Outside of the hospital, he spends most of his time with his wife and young daughter. When he has free time, he enjoys playing video games, volleyball and watching movies.

It was a bitter sweet day as we said ‘see you later’ to Dr. Turner on her last day with us at GoodVets Columbus! We (and her patients) are sure going to miss her as she moves into this next chapter with her husband starting medical school!
