Love Is Blind season 8 meets Dog Day Out... and we're ready to say, "I do!"

Thanks to VCA Charities' amazing partners at Minneapolis Animal Care & Control, in collaboration with their Dog Day Out initiative, we are grateful for the success of the Fido Field Trip Program! Back in the Spring, the shelter dogs got their own “Love is Blind” adventure when the fabulous ladies of Season 8 joined the fun, taking some shelter pups out for unforgettable field trips filled with smiles.

Did you know that research shows that dogs who experience a single day outside the shelter are 10x more likely to be adopted?! These outings give shelter dogs a break from the kennel, which reduces stress while increasing community volunteerism.

In 2 short weeks, we are moving!

Our hospital will be joining forces with the team at VCA New London on December 15, 2023.

While it is bittersweet to leave our longstanding current building, the repairs and maintenance needed here are great, and our New London building is state-of-the art, offering fresh renovation, more availability, and a high level of doctor and team collaboration to serve you to the very best of our ability!

To our valued clients: In December, our hospital will merge with our sister hospital, VCA New London in Waterford, Connecticut.

VCA Turco has a long legacy in the Westerly area and has helped countless pets live long and healthy lives over the years. Our physical VCA Turco location is in need of much updating and repair in order to continue to provide your very best experience. For this reason, we join teams and forces under one roof, where we will be able to serve you even better with added services, availability, and space, in a newly renovated building.

Our last day at VCA Turco Animal Hospital is December 15th, 2023. You will still see familiar faces in our new location, so rest assured that the care you are accustomed to will continue. Although we are saddened to be leaving our Turco location, we look forward to seeing you and your pet in the new “digs”.

Always remember: Festive decorations set the Halloween mood but can pose health risks for your pet. While non-toxic, pumpkin and pumpkin seeds can upset a pet’s stomach, especially when consumed in large quantities. Lit candles in Jack-O-Lanterns become fire hazards when toppled by a curious pet.
