Due to delays with the construction on all the public streets around Bluff Park, the Board of KLZR asked the board of All Aboard Westcliffe if our festival could be moved back to the rail depot where we just concluded the Summer in the Park shows, and they kindly consented 🙂 Tickets are still available at www.klzr.org/klzr-events Leashed pets and chairs can be admitted, but coolers cannot! It's a great venue and we are grateful to have it! Join us!

Congratulations to our sister event, the High Mountain Hayfever Festival!

The High Mountain Hay Fever (HMHF) Bluegrass Festival has been nominated for “Event of the Year” by the prestigious International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) (Nashville, Tennessee). This nomination is part of the organization’s “Industry Awards” recognizing outstanding work in non-performing industry categories.

Nominees for “Event of the Year” include:
• Bluegrass in La Roche (La Roche-sur-Foron, France)
• Doc at “100” (Various Locations)
• Earl Scruggs Music Festival (Mill Spring, North Carolina)
• High Mountain Hay Fever (Westcliffe, Colorado)
• Industrial Strength Bluegrass Festival (Wilmington, Delaware)

The IBMA Industry Awards winners will be announced on September 26th at the IBMA World of Bluegrass Business Conference in Raleigh.

HMHF, locally known simply as “The Bluegrass” is flattered and excited to be recognized in this group of outstanding events. High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival was originally formed to support local charities around issues of children’s health and has given out over $850,000 to date.

Do you love community radio as much as we do? We need a bunch of new sponsors ! Sponsors get tickets to the show and a banner that features your name, favorite charity, or local business. I know $300 is asking a lot, but your community radio station needs you. Hazel Miller is getting a mulligan on account of the bad weather we had last time and she's worth every penny. KLZR also has to pay for its news department and regular operating expenses. Here are a few samples so you can see what you get. (2'x3' ) Please message us if you have a great banner idea. KLZR 91.7 FM is pleased to announce the 14th annual High Peaks Music Festival, September 14, 2024 at Summit Park (at Bluff Park) overlooking the beautiful Wet Mountain Valley and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. This year featuring Mr. Harry Tuft, Mollie O’Brien and Rich Moore, The Martin Gilmore Trio, and The Hazel Miller Band! The festival starts at noon and runs until 5:30. Food and beverages will be available along with the latest KLZR merchandise. Come celebrate KLZR’s 20th year, and High Peaks 14th afternoon of fabulous music.

Early warning - Tickets go on sale June 15th, 2024 at Candy’s Coffee, and on line at KLZR's website. Tickets will be $30.00. Hope to see you there!

The volunteer list is now open for the 14th Annual High Peaks Music Festival for September 14th, 2024 at Summit Park on Adams Street. Various volunteer teams will be meeting through the year, so let us know which crew you'd like to join! Merch? Tickets? Canopy Crew? (this one is actually the most fun, and I ain't just 'Tom-Sawyerin' ya!) We'll also be organizing a BEER GARDEN, but we're gonna need some help with fencing and licensed bartenders.
