This is a very helpful article! I have been working with dogs for a while now and still learned so much new stuff while reading this🤔 I'm going to be adding a whistle to my pup gear inventory at some point and considering clapping as an alternative cue in more noise-sensitive environments!! What do you guys think about these tips for dealing with multiple barking dogs at once?

Moments like these make my day! There is nothing better than a good snuggle with a sweet pup 🐶 Zoey is a huge lovebug and in this pic, she is smushing her face into mine😂 This little goofball definitely knows how to be adorable!!

I would like to introduce 2 new pup pals today that I got to walk with for the first time!

Indy is such a gentle big brother and is so patient when playing with his new little sis 🐶 Mari is a playful bundle of joy who is very eager to learn and interact 🥏

This is a very good point that I think can be overlooked sometimes when people only see sniffing behavior as the pup moseying along on the walk. To me, it seems like sniffaris are the dog version of scrolling on a phone and I think we can all agree how fun that can be 😂

What do you guys think is the most interesting smell for your pup pals and do you agree that maybe it's similar for them to a human scrolling?

Even as a kid, I was passionate about caring for animals and learning everything I could about them. This "realistic" Barbie dog was one of my favorite toys and the lesson it taught me still rings true today. I quickly learned just how much cleanup is involved in dog care and I'm thankful for the early practice 😂 💩

What about you guys, I'm curious to hear what you spent a lot of time doing as a kid that has become a part of your passion as an adult?

I love this post about what humans sometimes expect from canines without knowing if anyone has taken the time to teach them.

🐾I enjoy the emphasis on a dog's individuality and depth of emotions. This can be a confusing and harsh world for our pup pals, let's do our best to help understand it from their view!🐾

What are your thoughts on the different statements and did any give you a possible new insight into the mind of canines?

IF DOGS COULD WRITE ….A BILL OF RIGHTS

Dogs are held captive in our human world but and are not born to understand our human ways.

We expect so much of them. We expect them to know, conform and behave in ways that are “acceptable” to us.

So many dogs are subjected to force, punishment, intimidation, aversive tools or outdated training methods as humans attempt to change and control them.

There is nothing admirable, ethical or intelligent in physically or emotionally forcing any sentient being to comply.

Take the time to learn and understand how they communicate, their emotions, their needs and use updated, modern, scientifically based methods to modify unwanted behaviour.

Guide them with understanding, with patience, with compassion and kindness.

If dogs could write a Bill of Rights, these are some of the things I believe they would want us to know.

Little did I know when I first met him, but this happy boy was the start to my childhood dreams finally becoming a path I could confidently follow! Everything I work towards and hope to achieve is centered around helping pups and the excitement this fella shows every day I see him is one of the many new ways I'm finding to believe in myself ❤️

I've been following this trainer for a while and am always extremely impressed with his pups and the quality of work that he does with them! This is a great example of how to practice the same cue in multiple environments to cement their understanding of what we are asking 🐾

My work in doggy daycares helped me learn a lot about how dogs play with each other, and this article is spot on about how the behaviors can be confusing sometimes when we don't know what to look for🐶 Please give the article a quick read if this topic interests you, I know it was definitely worth the time for me!
