First full on horse introduction and hound walk at Limestone Creek Hunt!
We always introduce our trusty steeds to the hounds in a relaxed environment before they learn to enjoy the thrill of the chase. It helps create horses that appreciate the action in the field.

We are so excited Douglas Ottis Russell Russell is back so we can get our Monday gym membership workouts completed. 💪 plus it's a great way to get our junior riders to learn the way of the hounds.

We had our second "rockin ride" last night🎶
We ran some traditional gymkana, like barrels and poles, and then we did some Mounted team relay games, including the cup race and what we like to call "tetris".

Can't wait for the next one Aug. 29th!

We are starting another endeavor here at Tally ho, The Tally Ho Tack Trunk!

We understand the need for finding apparel for riders, so we are currently accepting donations for English apparel including: boots, show jackets, gloves, belts, show shirts, polo shirts, breeches and jodhpurs, as well as hunting apparel and eventing vests.

This will be an honor based system where clothes are loaned out and returned after the season(so the next size up is ready 😉. We also will he accepting cash donations to benefit our Tally Ho Show and Hunt Teams, as well as go towards the purchase of new and used apparel as it becomes available.

We are so excited to provide this to our horse community.

We also have numerous used saddles to loan out for a season (or purchase) as our horses backs are constantly changing and we are working on purchasing all adjustable gullet saddles for our lesson horses.

It was a super busy weekend for our Tally Ho barn family! Friday we went to the Madison County Fair to participate in the Youth show. We made many new friends and saw old ones and the merry gang of lesson ponies were so good.

And then Sunday after a torrential down pour, we moved the majority of the show inside, where some of our little riders did a dressage test, and ground pole show jumping course! After the sunshine came out, our older riders were able to brush up on their cross country riding in preparation for Barneveld CT, this coming weekend.

We cannot thank our judge Greyhaven Sport Horses for the wonderful feedback and positive experience for all our riders. You made the morning extra special! Can't wait for you to come back again!

Hats off to all our older riders for being such wonderful helpers for our tiny tots!

Next up, Our fun game night, Rockin Ride this Friday at 6, and the Barneveld CT.

We live for the summer, and Limestone Creek Hunt hunter paces!
A great ride at Critz Farms and some of our prime hunt territory.
Wonderful cantering lanes, beautiful scenery and so many laughs.

Thank you to everyone who puts the energy into making these a must attend for all of us horse crazy "kids" (young and older alike).

The third and final day of the Tally Ho Intensive Eventing Camp came to and end yesterday, and we could not be more proud of each and every one of the attendees! We had horse inspections, cross country practice and a pizza party!

Because this is an innaguaral camp, we decided that every year we are going to give the "Izzy" award, which is in honor of one of our wonderful students that was taken from us too soon. Izzy was the epitome of a good horsewoman, and always made time to help others.
Our first recipient of this award was Emery McCoy.
Congratulations!!

We are sad the camp came to and end but we are already thinking of ways to make the next one even bigger and better, including inviting others that are not currently in our program!

We cannot thank enough our instructors, barn hands and our special unicorns, for the best 3 days so far this summer!
