☀️ Summer means more time outside but it also means more burrs, grass awns, and tangles hiding in your pup’s coat 🌾🐾

One of our biggest goals as groomers is to avoid shaving double coated dogs whenever possible. Their coat isn’t just fur, it’s part of their natural insulation system, helping regulate body temperature in both hot and cold weather while protecting their skin from the sun.

Unfortunately, severe matting can trap moisture, debris, and even tiny grass spurs against the skin, leading to irritation, infections, and discomfort. When that happens, shaving may be the kindest and safest option.

Regular brushing, routine grooming, and learning your dog’s specific coat needs can help preserve that beautiful natural coat and prevent bigger health issues down the road 💛

Our goal is always comfort first, coat preservation whenever possible, and educating owners so every pup can enjoy a happy, healthy summer 🐶✨

Max has had a hard time lately, but through it all he’s shown so much strength, trust, and resilience. For his recent spa day, he brought along his emotional support rhino 🦏 and of course we made sure both of them got pampered equally.
