Hey everyone,
With the recent EHV-1 cases popping up down in Texas, I want to get ahead of things and keep everyone in the loop. This virus only affects horses, but it spreads annoyingly easily — so this is one of those moments where a little caution goes a long way.
I’m all about keeping your horses safe, healthy, and feeling their best, so here’s what I’m doing on my end:
What I’m doing:
• Deep-cleaning everything: All tools, PEMF equipment, and anything that touches a horse is being disinfected between each session.
• Extra protection: I’ll be gloving up and using PPE whenever it’s appropriate, just to add another layer of safety.
• Reducing outside exposure: I’m cutting back on contact with other barns and horse events for now to keep cross-contamination chances as low as possible.
What I need from you:
• Give your horse a quick health check: Fever, snotty nose, coughing, dull attitude — anything off? Just let me know, and we’ll reschedule without a second thought.
• Be honest about recent travel/exposure: If your horse has been around big groups, shows, clinics, or anywhere with known EHV-1 cases, shoot me a message so we can play it safe.
• Wipe down gear before I arrive: A clean stall area and tack go a long way in reducing risk.
• Keep communication open: If something feels questionable, even a little, reach out. I’d rather be overly cautious than regretful.
We’re a team here, your horses’ health always comes first. Thanks for being flexible and understanding while we ride out this virus scare.
If you need to reschedule, have a question, or want to double-check anything, I’m just a message away.
Stay well, and hug your horses for me. ❤️❤️🩹
