Over the past few days, many of you have reached out asking about the history of the cats in our adoption room whose beloved owners passed away. 💔
What we can share is this: these two cats are very scared right now. The only homes and people they have ever known have suddenly been taken from them. They were with their owners since they were kittens, and now their world has been turned upside down.
Take a moment and ask yourself—if the only family and home you ever knew was suddenly gone, how would you feel? Imagine the confusion, sadness, and fear. That’s what they are living through right now.
But here’s the hopeful part—these cats, like so many before them who have faced this same heartbreak, can and do adjust once given the chance. With patience, kindness, and love, they blossom. They open their hearts to their new families, and their true personalities begin to shine. We’ve seen it time and time again—cats who once hid in fear begin to cuddle close at night, follow their new humans from room to room, and curl up to watch TV together.
They may not be the first to walk this difficult road, and sadly they won’t be the last—but we know there’s a special someone out there ready to help them heal and write their next chapter. Could that someone be you? 🐾❤️
