Say hi to Pearly Mae and Hercules!

These 2 guys have been clients with us before in the past, and they came to us for boarding while the owner was in the hospital. After a couple of weeks, it came to our attention that the owner will no longer be able to care for these dogs when and if she gets out of the hospital, and so we received a release form from her relative to rehome these 2 babies. 😞

Pearly Mae is a 14 year old female and she is the one with a cone on. She had an eye infection when she first came to us, but we have been steadily treating it 3 times a day, and it has gotten so much better! Hercules is a male, around 5 years old, and we would like to keep them together if possible. 💓

Both are very sweet.

Look at these 2 cute kittens who checked in today for boarding. Their mom brought them their own water fountain and everything. Yes, the one in the foreground is missing an eye, but doesn't seem to bother her one bit!

2-year-old very friendly and sweet brindle pit bull female needs a loving home. She was brought to us by a woman in Prescott who said she found the dog abandoned out in the yard of her neighbor who moved out. The dog had gone without food and water for a week or more so she's on the skinny side (photos don't show much in that aspect).

The woman had bought a big bag of food and treats, toys, and a harness and leash for Harley in preparation for finding her a new home. She is currently boarding with us for the time being. Call our office number or send us a message if interested!

One of our clients is needing to find homes for their 2 black female cats, named Flip and Flop. They both are 2-years-old, very friendly, and are not spayed or vaccinated. Located in Sedona, Arizona. I am not sure of their situation but a family member has passed away and I think they need to relocate the cats because of it.

Milo is a healthy, lively dog whom we have had the pleasure to get to know over the years. Milo can be aggressive with strangers. Milo was originally adopted from the Sedona humane society in the year of 2016. He's been a great watch dog for his family, but at this point, the wife's husband is in hospice care, and Milo has become more than they can handle. He has a lot of energy and can be aggressive with strangers, so ideally his new owner would need to have some experience with this type of dog or be working with a trainer.

The family has requested that anyone who is interested in him to contact me directly. We have been boarding and grooming Milo for years.

We have been in business for 44 years now and our facility is still owned and operated by the same people who first opened it in December of 1976. Each member of Bark n' Purr's staff has gone under both trial and training to ensure that the highest standards of quality and customer service remains as an important aspect of the business. We strive to maintain a teamwork ethic so that every client and their pet receives the individual attention and detail that they deserve.

~Must be able to work on weekends and holidays
~Past animal experience is always a plus but not mandatory
~You will be doing a lot of cleaning, including cleaning up after dogs and cats. We are always cleaning up vomit, urine, and f***s
~You must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on your own, and be physically fit enough to perform lifting
~You must be capable of listening to and following instructions.
~This job requires great attention to detail, so don't bother applying if you lack this
~You must have reliable transportation
~You must be able to arrive to work ON TIME
~You must be respectful to the people who are training you, correcting you, and showing you how to perform the job
~Do not cause or create drama with your coworkers
~This job is physically demanding and it is hard work. Do not apply to this job thinking you are going to be playing with puppies all day. We are tending to the needs of boarding animals and grooming the salon clients in a timely manner
~Maintain a clean appearance and possess basic customer service and communication skills
~You must be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more each work day
~Again I want to reiterate that this is not an easy job, so don't expect it to be
~Must be able to perform basic math skills and have the ability to count change back to customers

We are looking for someone who is active, mature, self-motivated, and reliable to fill in our part time/full time positions, which involves grooming as well as caring for our boarding animals and office work/customer service. Animal-related experience is a plus but we are always willing to train the right person!

Senior dogs are a specialty here at the kennel! This is Rosie, she has been coming to us for boarding and grooming for many years and time has taken its toll on her. In her older age, she has been enduring mobility issues and difficulties when attempting to stand. We make sure she has ample bedding with thick padding, and cool air blowing through the kennel during our hot nights to make sure that Rosie, and everybody else, is comfortable during their stay!

Say hi to Sweetpea everyone! She is a pitbull who will be boarding with us for around a week. She is very friendly towards everyone here and is so curious and excited about everything going on around her! Eats her food well and is always bounding with energy. We were mowing our lovely grass yards today at the time I was taking these photos, so we can all look forward to future photos and videos this next coming week of Sweetpea running in the fresh grass! 💫🐾♥️

Here in the photos below, she's being shown in the outdoor section of one of our large indoor/outdoor runs. She came running right outside when I called her!

Little Daisy, she's a nice Maltese who has cataracts and she's completely blind. Very hard to scissor since she is scared to death to stand on the table but she does take nice pictures! 🥰

This is Harold, everybody! He is the cutest little bulldog we've ever seen, and this is his first stay here at Bark n' Purr! He has already settled in quite nicely after one night, has been eating well so far, and absolutely adores his extra playtime! 🙃
Here he is saying a quick hello to his parents from behind the camera, he wants them to know that he is having a ball here! 🤜

Our cute salon mascot, Stewart, wants to let everybody know that we are currently accepting donations in these forms listed below:

💦~Unwanted towels! We use lots of towels each day we groom to dry off giant hairy dogs, small short-haired dogs, and everything in between!

🐾~Unwanted leashes! Sometimes we have dogs that unexpectedly chew through their leashes, or clients who forget their leash at home. We always like to have back-up leashes!

🧼~Unwanted empty dish soap bottles! We use empty dish soap bottles to mix, dilute, and distribute shampoo on our pups to make sure they are squeaky clean when they leave our salon!

We encourage you to stop on by during our open hours and drop off any of these currently wanted items that you might have! 😃
