**Why Pet Sitters Should Network 🤝🐾**
When I was invited to join the **Capital Area Professional Pet Sitters Network**, I JUMPED at the chance. And honestly? I wish more pet sitters would see networking as an opportunity instead of competition.
I’ve invited dozens of sitters to join, and some react like I’m trying to steal their children! 😂 But here’s the thing: **there is plenty of business to go around.**
I get LOTS of requests outside my service area. Rather than turning those clients away or sending them to a stranger, I can confidently refer them to someone I’ve actually met and trust.
And the best part? **Last year, 14% of my business came directly from networking.**
Networking isn’t about giving away your clients. It’s about building relationships with other professionals who can **send business your way, cover for you when life happens, and become a trusted resource for your clients.**
So if you’re a pet sitter sitting on the networking sidelines, I’d encourage you to jump in.
