Cider pressed for Thanksgiving dinner! This was an orchard blend that Grandpa picked after the commercial crews went through.
Guessing there were not many apples in Massachusetts for the first couple years until English varieties got established, but then cider and perry everyday to sanitize the water!

Time to thaw your birds for Thanksgiving! This one has been in the freezer for a month or two after harvest up north by Banks Lake. Remember, try to keep your bird at 40F or below while you thaw to avoid that danger zone between 40-140F where nasties survive….
