On April 4 dozens of people came to Link Piazzo Dog Park to have photos made with the Easter Bunny, get free prints of their dogs’ paws, and support Shakespeare Animal Fund. Hard to tell if the dogs or their people were having more fun. For sure, everyone had a great time!

Thank you in Gainesville! 🙌✨ Our recent volunteer recruitment drive on campus was a great success, and we are so inspired by the energy and passion everyone brought to the table.

As we grow our roots in North Central Florida and keep supporting our long-standing community in Northern Nevada, our mission remains the same: ensuring no one has to choose between putting food on the table and saving their beloved pet.

When Jamie saw Sylvester for the first time she knew he was the dog for her. They had an immediate bond. Sylvester was now part of a loving family. 🐶

During the adoption process Jamie learned about Sylvester’s past - he had been severely abused and a hit on the head endangered his eye.

As time went on Sylvester’s eye began to bother him. He rubbed his eye and kept it closed seeking relief from the pain.

Jamie knew surgery was necessary and contacted the vet. She was shocked at how much it would cost and desperately began to search for ways to pay for it. That’s when she discovered the Shakespeare Animal Fund.

We gladly helped pay for Sylvester’s surgery, which was a success. Sylvester now has two healthy eyes and loves to stare at his family!

Jean is 73 and carefully lives on $1,400 a month. She does her best to take care of her needs each month, including the vital $202 Zycortal injection for her 11-year-old dog's Addison's disease.

Naturally, unplanned expenses arise and difficult decisions have to be made.

Because of our generous donors we are able to step in and help Jean, and so many like her. When her dog's life is on the line, she shouldn't have to choose between her own groceries and her best friend's survival.

We love our supportive community and encourage local businesses, fraternities, sororities, and civic groups to host a third-party fundraiser. We're excited to work with you to help save pets! Anything from car wash to wine tasting will raise money for the animals. No event is too small!

🎨 Every dog is an artist at our annual Art Paws event in Alachua, Fl!

Talented artists dipped their paws in paint to create one-of-a-kind pieces then splashed in the pool to clean off. They also enjoyed canine games and prizes!

Dallas said he’s spent all the money he had and didn’t know what he was going to do. Then he reached out to us.

Of course, Dallas’ cat was only one of the many animals we helped this month. We helped a dog with a dislocated jaw, a cat attacked by a raccoon, animals with kidney stones, vomiting, and many more concerns.

And we’re so excited we’re able to help more animals these days. Our dream is to say yes to everyone, and be able to afford all types of procedures. We’re busy working on it!
