Dallas said he’s spent all the money he had and didn’t know what he was going to do. Then he reached out to us.

Of course, Dallas’ cat was only one of the many animals we helped this month. We helped a dog with a dislocated jaw, a cat attacked by a raccoon, animals with kidney stones, vomiting, and many more concerns.

And we’re so excited we’re able to help more animals these days. Our dream is to say yes to everyone, and be able to afford all types of procedures. We’re busy working on it!

💙 It's been a joy to help pets for 22 years! This is Khaleesi, whom we helped in 2020...

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for your help in getting our Khaleesi girl to the vet. I was so stressed trying to figure out how we were going to be able to pay for her to see a vet. Money has been so tight during this pandemic and b/c of your organization we were able to get her in right away. Thank you for helping my family."

When you support Shakespeare Animal Fund you are making a difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them...

"I am a US Army Combat Veteran from Iraq and have a service dog for my PTSD. She has suffered a severe injury from a fall. She was going down a flight of stairs and lost her footing which caused her to fall down the stairs. She was unable to walk so I took her to the vet and they took 3 xrays which showed no breaks but after an exam it was determined she ripped her CCL on her right back leg. She is a Saint Bernard that weighs 125 lbs.

I am writing your organization because I am desperate... Any help that your organization can offer would be greatly appreciated."

🎯 Our only mission is to help pay emergency veterinary bills for elderly, disabled and others who have suffering or dying pets and can’t afford to get needed treatment. 🐱

Here's how it works:

1. The pet owner contacts Shakespeare Animal Fund through our crisis hotline (775) 342-7040 or by email at [email protected].

2. Once the SAF coordinator makes contact and determines the pet owner's eligibility, the pet owner is advised to select a veterinarian.

3. The Shakespeare coordinator contacts your vet detailing the amount we can pay towards your pet's treatment. After your pet is seen, the owner signs a confirmation which is returned to Shakespeare. We pay the veterinarian directly and no one is ever asked to pay us
back.

Shakespeare Animal Fund was thrilled to receive an $1100 check from Kathy Cafazzo Photography for their participation in this year’s Pooch Playoff’s.

During the playoffs, three of the four dogs photographed from Alachua County Animal Resources were adopted. The fourth pet, Stella, is shown here with Kyle. She’s two and a half, potty trained, good with all dogs. Because she’s been at the shelter 60 days adoption feels are waived and there is 20% off on local trainer fees.
