Just a friendly reminder with these very dangerous temperatures we are going to have the next few days!!

Make sure all outdoor animals(large and small)have proper shelter! If able to do so, bring them inside whether that be a garage, barn, etc.
Be sure to have bedding out for your large animals and if you have outdoor cats and dogs! Remember- if you have bulls, their testicles will freeze without proper care!
Make sure all animals have access to water and food, get your heaters ready and test them before this weather rolls in!
Also check on your neighbors!

It is now recommended to check cats yearly for tick diseases just like in dogs or sooner if you see ticks or symptoms. Unfortunately we have seen a major increase in Lyme, Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis in dogs and it is now being seen more in cats as well. Symptoms to watch for: Lethargic, loss of appetite, fever or stiffness. Please see below for some helpful tips. We recommend flea, tick and heartworm preventions year round on dogs AND cats.
