Tommie and his family lost an incredible Atze son. Atze was the patriarch that started our breeding program 20 years ago. We still incorporate Atze in our program. Tommie now has another Atze son, Chase, that is doing a phenomenal job keeping horrible drugs off the streets.

Kye, the first member of Christian County's K-9 unit, was given a fond farewell by over 30 representatives of area law enforcement agencies on Wednesday before he was euthanized because of ongoing health problems.

I have tried to make this post over and over again for weeks, but every time I looked at her pictures I put the phone down . Early Thanksgiving morning Ouch von Hügelblick, Sch 3 FH KKL crossed over the rainbow bridge. She had one last swim the afternoon before, and gave it hell with her red jolly ball. Basked in the sun. She will be swimming with her partner in crime again, Atze.

It’s been a week and it is finally setting in that Pongo von Hügelblick SCH3, KKL, took his last ride with his favorite pig. He loved his rides, but I think his favorite thing in retirement was sitting on the couch eating Cheetos with my father for over a decade, and he made it to the ripe old age of 14 and a half. The matriarch of Hillview Kennels, otherwise known as Princess, Layla von Hügelblick, SG Sch 3, FH, KKL, celebrated 13 years! Started out with a seared salmon skin fillet and roasted carrots, then topped it off with carrot cake. Grateful for every minute we get to spend with her. She produced so many wonderful dogs in her young days. We can credit it her mother’s great genes, Baghira von der Riesling Route. She was a queen! 🧬🖤🥰👑👸🇺🇸🇩🇪
