This is why I recommend and have travel insurance. Between rebooking flights and an added unplanned overnight stay, this would’ve cost me almost $1400 extra. All for one singular 1.5hr delay that caused me to miss every flight afterwards. Most would’ve passed this cost along to the client or cancelled. I don’t give up. Ever. A 90min delay messed up every down line flight I had. If it was someone else, they might’ve said oh well we’ll try again in a week or would’ve just canceled. Not me. Flights were rebooked, at no additional fees or costs to my clients. Only 1 of my flights was covered for free rebooking. I have travel insurance for a reason, which helped cover the other flights. Thank you to my clients and their respective families for being flexible. Communication is key and all parties were updated every step of the way!

PLEASE SHARE This is a PSA to everyone traveling with a pet. Please PLEASE keep an eye on them, check every 20min. Keep 1 earbud out to listen. This wasn’t my dog or any dog I was traveling with but I was on the flight and helped the passenger to the best of my ability due to no vet being on board. They unfortunately noticed too late and missed the signs for distress because they were preoccupied watching shows/movies. The deep raspy breathing is a red flag that something bad is about to happen and needs to be mitigated immediately by taking the pet out of the carrier, attempt to give water, cool them down water/rubbing alcohol on their neck, even hold/comfort, give oxygen. Unnoticed signs of distress has fatal consequences.

Story time and some well deserved recognition! Due to a delayed inbound flight on another airline, my connection time to a Breeze Airways flight was cut short. I got in the TSA line. I have Precheck, but the line wasn’t moving. Flight starts to board and 5min later, final boarding is called. There is still 20min left before the door is scheduled to close and 35min before scheduled departure time. Finally get through TSA with 10min to spare before door closing but my bag was pulled for additional screening. I peek around the corner to see the door to the gate already closed. While not advisable, I left my bag and ran to the gate to tell the agent I was there, just waiting for my bag. I was the only one they were missing. She said once the doors are closed that’s it but would give me 5min while she went to talk to the captain. I ran back to TSA. The captain sent an agent to the TSA checkpoint to prioritize my bag and held the flight for 10min. I was able to board and the flight still left 10min early. Moral of the story, while I was technically still within boarding parameters, I was not rude, mean, hostile, etc like you see when others miss their flight. This is usually why gate agents don’t attempt and won’t reopen the flight. Kindness goes a long way and is often returned when given. Thank you Breeze Airways!!!!!
