Poor sweet Tank doesn't understand why his little sister (4 lbs) won't play with him. He is just too playful!

However Tank is doing so well retrieving! But we are still working on our sit and stay. He is very treat and praise motivated, but still has that short puppy attention span!

➡️Keeping training lessons short and positive is key at this age.
➡️Minimize distractions and stay patient as not all pups learn at the same speed.
➡️Some need more time & repetition but only a few short sessions per day.
➡️Their ability to focus will grow in time.
➡️ Make sure pup is not overstimulated as this will lead to hyperactivity and lack of attention.

➡️ For initial retrieving, make sessions fun and positive!
➡️Give lots of praise!
➡️We find it best to start in a confined area with limited distractions. (Small fenced area or even a hallway.)

The siblings are 12 weeks old now and received shots again this week. Charlie Mae had a reaction to the Lepto shot, but she is doing well after benadryl/steroid. She got to go to work with mom that day! 🥰

Tank says, "Hey siblings, don't forget your shots this week. Miss ya!"

Tank made a mark on his dad's heart (& mine) so he stayed here with us. He is already retrieving. We just keep it fun and not too serious at this age. These pups are very smart!

He is getting alot of baths while we learn crate training. He hasn't quite mastered #1, but he will with some age.

Precious miss Charlie Mae had her spa day and went to meet her sweet new family today! We will miss her!

We are so excited that she is joining a wonderful, loving family with some playful fur siblings too. Her precious family had a camo collar, a fancy pup tag with her name engraved, and a duck toy waiting for her. Charlie Mae chased and bonded with her beautiful fur siblings. 🥰

We met the sweetest couple yesterday and are so excited that our boy, now Cash, is in good hands, loved, and has plenty of land to play. He will learn to hunt too. 🦆

Happy 10th birthday to our best hunting bud!! He quietly watches every duck come in and loves it! Doesn't matter how many hours we put in, temperature, or conditions. He has sat behind a heater in the blind with us on below freezing days or during a passing thunder storm. We make sure he doesn't get too cold.. But he would rather sit on the levee so he doesn't miss seeing a bird.

He started hunting flooded timber with us at 6 months of age. It was mostly close retrieves so we could watch him and not any below freezing temps. He even gets his own seat in the truck so we can share cheetos after a good hunt. But I like to spoil him after all his hard work. 🥰

I don't know if another retriever will ever live up to this one! ❤ Happy birthday and keep wreaking havoc on those ducks and geese!!

Happy Independence Day!!
Getting puppy snuggles this morning! They all had a bath, and they are soaking up the cuddles. 🥰 This is one of the male pups. He is so sweet!
6 weeks old. They are changing and growing so fast!

Little male lab available. 6 weeks old Saturday and had 1st shots and dewormer.

Available Monday.
