Hello Friends fans, family, and followers! Please be on the lookout for a 14-year-old long-haired cat that got away from our friend as she was going into Dr. Gering‘s office. Unfortunately, the crate had a loose spot that she got out of. We believe she is in the general area between Dr. Gering’s office on Graham and the nearby train tracks.

Steele is a staff favorite! This sweet, oversized puppy will bring a smile to your face no matter how bad your day has been. He is playful, funny and loves crawling up in someone’s lap. Steele loves other dogs and prefers romping and goofing off with playmates out in the yard.

We’re not really sure why it was necessary for him to be brought in on a logging chain, but nonetheless, we are proud to have Geronimo. He is a fabulous Yorkie mix who is approximately five years old. Geronimo is fond of cats and great with other dogs. he is heartworm negative and scheduled to be neutered this week

Surely, there is a wonderful family out there that would love to foster this family! This is Winnie and all her beautiful babies. If you have experience fostering a nursing mom and kittens, you know that it is very low maintenance. We supply all the necessary equipment and make it super simple. And who doesn’t love to play with a kitten? We’re asking for two weeks if you’re able to help. Just give us a shout at 870-732-7599.

We are bursting at the seams.

Do you want to know our numbers?

Do you want to see all the faces that have come through the door or off the animal control vehicle?

Do you want to know the stack of owner surrender forms we have?

Would you like to see our long-term pets going crazy in their kennels?

Are you ready to criticize when we have to euthanize for space?

Do you want to judge when we or any other municipal shelter have to make the hard decisions?

We and pets are in crisis. We cringe every time we see a vehicle coming into the parking lot. We look out the window and wonder what they are pulling out of the backseat. We fight not be the person in the lobby when people come in.

A crate with overheated cats and kittens, a yorkie mix on a logging chain, a dying kitten gasping for air someone found in a yard….

We are supposed to fix it…’cause we love animals, right?
