Hello, Jamie here, to announce that Tropical Oasis Fish and Pets is officially closed permanently. I would like to let the community know what happened with the store and why, and what we have to look forward to in the future. The story will be in the comments. In it, I remained as neutral and respectful as possible. I feel I deserve to tell this story, and once you read it, you will see why.
First, I want to take a moment to recognize the people that were all players in the store's care, success, and eventual downfall. I will use first names only for privacy - I am posting them because I want them all to know that the good they contributed was seen. A shout out to Kyle, Mina, Stephanie, Marilyn, Riley, Cassie, Johnna, Ray, Kyler, Jeff, Koi, Carla, Jennifer, Emma, Sherry, Chris, Barb, Nancy, Jack, Brenda, Haley, and the rest of their family. No matter what happened in the end, everyone listed here contributed to the success of the store, they all love animals, and they all deserve to be recognized for that.
I also want to take the time to recognize my own family, who all put up with my animal obsession and still love me. Jason, my wonderful and dedicated husband who supported me all the way even when things were difficult, and who provided for our family as well as for the store during this endeavor. Tammy, my mom, for always being there for me, supporting me, and loving me no matter what. And my children: Jova, Sunny, Maribel, Dainin, Eamon, and Avi, for being the most amazing and helpful bunch of kids I've ever met.
Lastly, thank you to all of the customers that made Tropical Oasis a truly wonderful experience. We have made so many friends and had so many good times in the shop. Bringing people together with animals will never get old. I love all of you awesome animal people. I loved this store, and I gave my all every day to make it a positive experience for everyone.
The good news is, I'm still raising animals (and taking in/helping with rescues), and I hope I always will be. You never know, maybe one day when I'm actually ready, I'll open up another shop in town. I do have animals available right now that need homes, and I have feeders and food available. I will be listing them in the comments and/or in a separate post. Please contact me if you're interested in adopting any of them. Or if you need anything, or have any questions. I'm here for you guys. My number is 701-306-5515. If you call, leave a message. Please be patient with me in returning your calls and texts.
P.S. Ethan, I know you're reading this, and I want you to know I haven't forgotten about you or what you said. Don't worry, I miss your random craziness! I'm just a call away, my friend. Hope you've been doing well.
