If you aren’t feeding your breeders or show birds a supplement, you’re missing out!
Show Pro has great supplements, full of everything your big box store feed is lacking.
I feed Nutrena because I don’t have a local feed mill unfortunately HOWEVER….
That’s where the supplements come in handy.
Poultry need a higher amount of essential amino acids( Lysine, Methionine, and Cysteine) than big box store feed has and the protein in this vs big box store feed is un matched.
The protein source is sardine fish meal, which is amazing for your birds feather quality, immune health, and overall vigor.
It’s also great specifically for your breeders because everything I mentioned above is also great in helping improve fertility and overall egg health.
Now, the oils I use to adhere the supplement to the feed varies. Sometimes I do use olive oil, but most of the time, I try to use an animal fat if I can.
I love using grass fed beef tallow, the benefits in using a good animal fat is incredible. That’s a post for another day though. 😉
