🎉We did it, we moved! It’s officially been 1 month since our move.🎉

🏥We are now in our new location which is just on the other side of the shopping plaza! We are now located on the south side of the plaza on Aroma.

‼️
😷We are still requiring masks as a business in order to keep our staff and the families of our staff safe. Please be sure to wear your mask BEFORE entering the facility. If you do not have one, we can assist you outside or supply you with a mask.

☀️Summer is here! Summer is always the busiest time of the year for vet offices.
🗓Be sure to book your pet’s appointment at least a week in advance so that we can offer multiple times for your convenience.
🐛With summer time comes fleas! We do require an exam at least once a year in order to prescribe any flea and tick medication. We offer Bravecto and Nexgard, available in 1 month or 3 month supplies.

If you happen to stop at our old location don’t worry there’s a sign to let you know where we are.
💚Hope you all love our new place as much as we do!

TO HELP ENSURE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR PATIENTS, THEIR FAMILY, AND OUR STAFF, SOUTH HILLS HAS IMPLEMENTED THE FOLLOWING CHANGES AND UPDATES TO OUR CUSTOMARY PROTOCOLS:

South Hills Animal Hospital will remain OPEN until further notice. Veterinary practices are considered as an essential business according to the AVMA.

Here is our new updated protocol in regards to COVID-19:

1. Any appointments that are made will be spaced out, so scheduling may be limited.

2. We will be enforcing curbside protocols as much as possible where it is applicable.

3. Please limit it to ONLY ONE family member per patient to be inside the facility.

4. All staff will follow CDC guidelines by thoroughly cleaning all high touched areas between appointments.

5. All staff will follow the guidelines for face coverings. In addition, they will be changing gloves frequently and/or washing their hands frequently.

6. In accordance with new public safety requirements, clients shall wear masks or other appropriate face coverings while inside the facility.

We want to advise our clients about our new protocols since this may lead to additional waiting time at South Hills. If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to ask us. Thank you for your patience & understanding. 🐾 ❤️

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT:
As many of you know, California is in High Alert of COVID-19 and many businesses have been shutting down. However, South Hills Animal Hospital will remain OPEN until further notice. Veterinary practices are considered as an essential business according to the AVMA. (Links for more information will be listed down below). Here at South Hills, we provide for both animal and public health but we advise owners to stay at home if they are feeling ill.

On a side note, we will accommodate prescription and diet refills, IF CALLED IN ADVANCE. We will be able to do the following due to social distancing guidelines:

1. Pay over the phone and have a car pickup for medications and food diets.
2. Do a car pick up and pay in person from your vehicle for medication and food diets.
3. Spread out our appointments so we have less than 10 people at our clinic at any given time.

Again, we advise owners to stay at home if they are feeling ill and to keep their pets inside. There have been many reports on pets being surrendered to animal shelters due to the concerns of pets carrying the coronavirus. Currently there have been no significant studies that show that pets can be infected by COVID-19. Even so, there is still risk of pets becoming vectors for the virus. A vector acts as a carrier of a virus and can encourage the spread of disease while not being affected themselves. So we advise our owners to stay home and, in the case you feel ill, isolate yourself from your pets as well. If you have any concerns or questions, please look at the following links below or contact us for more information. Thank you for your patience & understanding at this critical time.

To our South Hills Family,
As you may already know we are in a National Emergency of the pandemic of COVID-19. As an essential business, we will remain open to insure that your pet’s health is treated during these crucial times and undergo a detailed cleaning procedure daily. We will accommodate medical prescription refills and diets for car pick up, if called in advance to those who are concerned about quarantine. We will ensure an appropriate level of biosecurity that safeguards the health of our patients and their owners. In the meantime, we want to inform you about the difference between the human coronavirus (COVID-19) and the canine coronavirus (CCoV). Canine coronavirus is not a zoonotic virus and is not recommended as a core vaccine according to the AAHA. As of right now, there is no evidence that your pet can carry COVID-19 but it is recommended to stay at home with them and to wash your hands often. We have provided links down below for more information that may be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. Stay safe and healthy.
