LuvFurMutts Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) public charity small breed rescue serving the greater Cincinnati and tri-state area in Ohio. We serve the tri-state by rescuing small breed dogs (specifically seniors) from high kill shelters where they would have no other hope. We provide all of our rescue dogs with comprehensive veterinary care which includes and is not limited to; vaccinations, spay

/neuter, micro chipping and heartworm testing and treatment prior to placing them with loving families. We firmly believe no matter the age of the dog or what their past may have been like, they still deserve rescue, rehabilitation and a loving home. LFM is always in need of volunteers to help with adoption events, transport and grooming. If you would like to volunteer, send us a PM. Every pet is fostered until it is adopted. Foster homes are needed for dogs in need of a loving home until they can find their FOREVER home. If you are interested in fostering or would like to learn more about it:

•All we ask is that you bring your foster to adoption events.
•We take care of all the medical needs and food for your foster. Your foster will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and dewormed prior to coming into your home.
•Your foster will be micro-chipped. Would you like to be responsible for saving a dog’s life? We supply all the medical care for the dog, the food, the crate and you supply the love. If you have been thinking about adopting a dog, or want a playmate for the dog you have, fostering can turn out to be very beneficial for you and will help us all save another dog’s life. Please welcome Ellie to the rescue. She is a chi mix & is approximately 3 years old. She is the sweetest dog and so gentle. She weighs about 15 pounds. She is house trained and walks well on a leash. She is fine with kids, but due to her small size, she would be best in a home with children over the age of 10. Can you open your heart to this cutie?

Friends,
It's taken me months to reach out, but I wanted to let you know that a Luv Fur Mutts Alumn, Joey (Jo Jo) passed away in July, after a short but intense illness. He was 13 years old and died peacefully in our arms.
We adopted the 7 year old Jo Jo (Joey) in Cincinnati, Ohio at Luv Fur Mutts in 2016. I cannot say enough wonderful things about adopting an older dog, especially as he was my first dog. He and I bonded immediately as if we had always been together.
He was spoiled rotten, traveling back and forth between a family farm in Dry Ridge Kentucky, or being the biggest City Boy in New York, where he would go to dog daycare 3 days out of the week and on weekends, the Saturday farmers market and dog park.
We feel his loss so strongly, as we were a whole family, and now we are not. But also, I'm sure we are not alone in this feeling.
I just wanted to thank you so much for allowing me to have a beautiful seven years with Jo Jo. And finding him a forever home.
