Central New England Equine Rescue (CNEER) Central New England Equine Rescue (CNEER) Central New England Equine Rescue (CNEER) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization located in Massachusetts.

We are an all-volunteer rescue for horses. (See what Guide Star has to say about CNEER. Guide Star has a database of information about U.S. nonprofit organizations.) We have a wonderful group of volunteers with the same goal in mind, to rescue and rehabilitate horses. Everyone involved at CNEER ensures that all horses rescued are treated with the best possible care. We know what is involved in the

rehabilitation to make them healthy and restore their spirit. We also have learned that we cannot do everything for all horses, but we can do something! One horse at a time, we fight the good fight to restore faith to these magnificent creatures that have been put through great suffering in their lifetime.

WINNIE
We had to say goodbye to a pillar of our rescue this week. Winnie took care of every volunteer especially those that were brand new or just returning to the love of a horse. Whether you were 4 or 84 Winnie gave you her heart so you could give her your trust. She came to us ten years ago with Little Bandit...both were in sad shape. She struggled with heaves and it was obvious her lungs and hip needed a lot of TLC. With guidance from our wonderful vet it was possible for her to enjoy her time with all of us. She was feisty with other horses and let them know when she had laid claim to a certain pile of hay. Our volunteers treated Winnie like a queen; which of course she somehow knew she was. Good bye sweet Winnie you were as honest as could be and you will never be forgotten for all you gave so generously.
