Well I tried to post to see if someone recognized the dog but no one’s stepped up. I kind of know why. 😡I’ve had her scanned.. no chip which I totally expected. But here’s the story behind poor Dumped Dog. Lovingly nicknamed DD. A few weeks ago, DD found herself tied to a pole behind a strip mall across the street from my training facility Apex K-9, her past slipping away as a truck drove off, leaving her alone and frightened. Luckily a shopper saw the person walk her to the woods and come back without her. Imagine the confusion and fear coursing through her as she realized she had been abandoned by the very person she trusted the most. Thankfully, the local police, along with the compassionate efforts of one of my trainers wife Bianca and long time client Diane, stepped in, and together they quickly rescued DD from that heart-wrenching situation.
When she first arrived at APEX, DD was understandably nervous. The trauma of being discarded by her owner weighed heavily on her young heart, and her timid demeanor spoke volumes about her need for safety and love. I dont think this dog was ever leashed or walked on leash!! I saw the potential in this vulnerable pup. With an open mind I brought DD into my home, offering the patience, training and care she needed to begin her healing journey.
Under my guidance, DD has begun to flourish. She is now housebroken and has shown an incredible capacity for friendship, getting along well with both dogs and cats. Yet, despite her progress, DD is still searching for something that she longs for deeply: a forever home where she can feel secure and loved.
DD needs an active family—someone who will take her on daily adventures and continue her journey of obedience training. She deserves a life filled with joy, exploration, and the warmth of a loving home. Her playful spirit and gentle nature are waiting to be unleashed in a space where she can thrive.
