As Annie’s Woof Pack celebrates five incredible years in business, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who has supported me along the way. Whether you’ve trusted me with your beloved pets, referred a friend, or simply cheered me on, you’ve played a part in helping my small business grow into what it is today.

This journey began with a leap of faith and that very first stimulus check. I used that check to start Annie’s Woof Pack as an LLC, never imagining that one decision would still be feeding my mini family five years later. But none of it would have been possible without the continued love, trust, and support of this amazing community.

Your loyalty and kindness mean the world to me, and I’m beyond grateful to live and work among such wonderful people. Here’s to many more years of muddy paws, and cherished connections.

Did you know the heel command actually originates from military working dog protocols?

Dogs were trained to walk on the handler’s left side so the right hand remained free for commands or weapon handling. The correct heel position requires the dog’s front right paw to align with the handler’s left foot while in motion. This alignment promotes spatial awareness, consistent pacing, and minimizes interference, making it foundational for precision work and advanced obedience.

We lost one of our best boys this past Sunday.

I have been walking Maxwell since my days and I can truly say that he was one of a kind. Max loved dogs, swimming, some questionable treats (dried chicken feet and bull p***s) and every human he met. He was big and somewhat scary but a gentle giant. He was his mom’s biggest supporter and she was his, challenging him to new sports like dock diving and scent work. (He’d rather swim than dive) He left a mark on everyone he met and he will forever be in our hearts. We will miss you big guy but we know you now have endless ponds to swim and questionable treats to chew. Say hi to Annie for me. 🐾 🌈 🐕

When I was a naïve 23-year-old, I found a beagle on Craigslist and brought her home without a second thought. She was covered in fleas, underweight, and had clearly had a few litters—but from the moment I saw her, I knew she was mine. I had no idea then just how much she would change my life. That scrappy little beagle, Annie, became my heart dog, my co-pilot, and the foundation of everything I’ve built. Sometimes the best things come from the most unexpected places. Best hundred dollars I’ve ever spent.
