🐾 Structured introductions = safe, happy play! 🐾

When dogs meet, it’s important to set them up for success. Start with a calm, side-by-side walk before direct interaction—this helps ease nerves and prevents overwhelming energy.

Once play begins, here’s what to look for:
✅ Loose, wiggly body language
✅ Play bows & role reversals (taking turns chasing)
✅ Natural breaks in play

And here’s when to step in:
🚫 Stiff posture
🚫 Pinning or nonstop chasing
🚫 One dog looking stressed or trying to get away

By watching body language and guiding interactions, we can keep play safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Ever feel like your dog listens great at home but completely “forgets” everything in public? 🤯

You’re not alone—this is super common! At home, it’s calm and familiar so focusing is easy. Out in public though? New smells, people, dogs, cars…it’s a LOT for your pup to process.

The good news: it’s not that they’re being stubborn, they just need practice learning how to focus through distractions.

Here’s a simple way to help:
1️⃣ Start small—practice in the backyard or driveway.
2️⃣ Move to a quiet street, then a busier one.
3️⃣ Try a calm park before working near busier dog parks.

Step by step, your dog learns that “sit” (or any command!) means the same thing everywhere. Consistency really is the key. 🙌
