Roden Echo Valley, LLC Roden Echo Valley, LLC is a dairy farm located in West Bend, WI and owned by Bob & Cindy Roden, Rick & Melissa Roden, and Joe Roden. Do you give farm tours?

Roden Echo Valley, LLC is a dairy farm located in the Town of Trenton. Bob & Cindy Roden started farming in Saukville in the early 1980's, and in July of 1995 moved to the current location in the Town of Trenton. The farm currently has 600 milking cows and about 70 baby calves at this location. When heifers are about 3 months old they are moved to another farm in Saukville where they are bred when

they are over a year old. Before the heifer has their first calf they are moved to the home farm, where all the baby calves are born. In January 2015 the farm name changed from Rob-n-Cin Farms to Roden Echo Valley, LLC as future generations invested in the farm. Frequently Asked Questions

Where did the farm get it's name Rob-n-Cin Farms? In the 1980's the owners of the farm (Bob & Cindy) were on a bowling league. The couples who bowled together all combined their names, making the team and farm name Rob-n-Cin Farms. How many hours a day does it take to milk the cows? At Rob-n-Cin Farms each cow is milked three times per day. It takes about 6 hours to milk all 600 cows. Those 6 hours doesn't include setting up the milking parlor and the cleaning after the cows are milked. Yes, we give a lot of farm tours to school groups and others who are interested in learning more about agriculture. Bob & Cindy's youngest daughter has began her own business - Roden Barnyard Adventures - and gives many tours. Check out her website and schedule your tour today: http://www.rodenbarnyard.com/

Some days on the farm are never forgotten, like this one. This is back 16 years when date stamps were on every photo so you always remember exactly when it happened. It was late in the day and Bob's oldest daughter Patti was driving, until it was buried, literally. It took unhooking and a tow truck on higher ground to get both out.

After the wet April this year, we are surprised with how the fields dried out. The recent rain has been welcome to help our planted crops start to grow.

The last of the soybeans were planted today! The planter is back home and ready for its bath. We still have plenty of corn to plant, we've had the perfect stretch of weather to get a lot of seeds in the ground.

The cows breakfast is in the mixer, or a big blender, and ready to be fed. The cows nutritionist works closely with us to make sure they are being fed a balanced diet.

We believe his birthday wish will be for some sunny days to dry out the fields so spring fieldwork can begin. Another wet night last night, and still more rain in the forecast.

We pray for dryer days so we can begin fieldwork. Many of the fields have ponds and are very wet from the daily rain. Looks like another week of rain and then hopefully we can dry out for spring planting.
