Hi everyone !! I'm trying something new and changing my hours a bit. Here are the updated times.

Monday-Friday 7:45-6:00
Saturday 8:00-6:00 (as needed)
Sunday 9:00-9:15 (as needed) and 1:00-6:00 (as needed)

P!ease note: Going forward, the last available time for drop offs/pick ups will be 5:45. And just a reminder, if you end up not liking the time you set up for dropping off or picking up, p!ease call or text for a new one 😎

Chloe….the official start of the Foster House family for State Fair week 💖 Her family needs to go help the Fair get ready to open. She and I will host a group of weekenders then resume building the Fair family next Wednesday 💖💖

Does anybody remember why I’m named “Foster House” ?

Because 7-1/2 years ago I was going to foster dogs for rescues !!! Well, by the grace of God, it went a little different direction and Foster House Boarding and Grooming came into existence 💖🐶💖

From the beginning I vowed I’d keep my prices low in the hopes that affordable dog care services would encourage people to add a doggie to their family, preferably from the rescues and shelters and reduce the number of homeless and forgotten. My ideals, though still important to me, have gotten a little bit lost in the dust and it’s time to make some changes.

As of today, August 1st, 2025, boarding and grooming prices are officially going up. I will also be writing new policies and guidelines which will be available when finished.

It’s been my greatest pleasure to be here for you and your pups the last 7-1/2 years. Thank you to everyone who helped turn that very first tiny opportunity into a way of life 💖🐶🐶💖

Thought I would share this. I’m super nervous about giving bones and think of them as a choking hazard. Cooked bones are a no-no for sure but look here what this doctor of veterinary medicine for over 30 years recommends !!

Raw bone feeding has many health benefits and is safe for dogs when done right. Clean teeth, healthy gut, empty a**l glands. Bones are also a perfect kind of entertainment for dogs. This simple sheet has pretty much all you have to know to start 🙂 Enjoy and give your dog a hug for me.

Today and tomorrow and the next day will be challenging. As it is every year on this holiday. But it’s safety first here at Foster House whatever the hoops I have to jump through to make that happen. I’m only thankful we’ve gotten to today without the challenges starting. Jump through a few hoops of your own and keep your pets safe. Please 🙏🙏🙏

🇺🇸Did you know more dogs get lost on the 4th of July than any other day of the year? Even if you dont think your pup will run off, it’s better to be safe than sorry!
Here are some helpful tips for dog owners with the upcoming holiday…
🐾Leave your dogs inside preferrably in a secure room
🐾Turn on the radio or TV for a familiar noise
🐾Exercise your dog earlier in the day before festivities begin
🐾If your dog will be outside, make sure they are double leashed and you have control over them
🐾Be sure your dog’s rabies tag and identification tag is being worn
🐾Make sure your dog is far away from the fireworks

Wrangler is such a good boy !! I enjoy having him staying with me but he needs to find a new forever home since his person cannot go back home to the farm from assisted living. He would love to ride along for tasks and chores and at the end of the day lay around the house. When people are not coming and going here at Foster House, I give him the doggie door so he can come and go as he pleases. He usually prefers to find a place to lay down and watch me clean. He takes his job as devoted companion very seriously 💖
