This was going to be my Thanksgiving post. As usual, I’m late (to nonexistent) with posting. I’m always formulating the words in my head as I go about daily life here at the kennels, just horrible at sitting down and writing them out 🫤
When I snapped these pictures, tho, I was feeling especially thankful. Thankful to have the desire to continue to upgrade and make things better for the dogs and thankful for the people who cross my path that can turn my ideas into reality 💖
Picture #1 shows the new roof over the entire back of the building as well as the new porch/step system that is designed solely for my bulldog boarders and their short little legs 😂 It is also beneficial for the older babies with stiff joints. Most of all, we are all enjoying having a place for them to get out of the rain or snow on trips outside !!
Picture #2 shows a side view so you can see the new yard I’m now able to create because of the updated porch steps…..finally. I’ve needed an extra yard for quite some time to help with 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. potties. Although I couldn’t quite get it finished before the recent snow, I’m confident this weekend will see it complete and ready to use 🙏🙏
Picture #3 is the new walk-thru door that replaces a doggie door that was just not practical any longer. And besides, I’m getting too old to be getting up and down multiple times a day running doggie doors 🫤😂 This new door also will allow me the use of an extra yard which will make early morning and last potties at night much more efficient and pleasant for all of us 😎 If i get around to it, I’ll post a new picture later on when the new step gets built. I think that project falls on me 🫤😂
Picture #4 isimply shows what’s left of a tree I had the crew take out for me while they were doing the other projects. When spring and summer come back around, I’m probably going to be missing it but right now I’m thankful I no longer have to worry about wind or ice storms bringing down limbs on either of my buildings 💖💖 It was a big old unhealthy tree and needed to go. I will plant two new ones in the spring 😘
Thank you to everyone who continues to come here for boarding and grooming and making these upgrades possible 💖💖💖💖 I’m blessed beyond belief to be here taking care of all your pups 💖💖💖💖
