MobileVet of St. Louis

MobileVet of St. Louis We are happy to introduce you to our full-service mobile veterinary clinic serving St. Louis, Missou A fully stocked pharmacy is also on-board.

Dr. Jaime Plappert Waltman and Dr. Brad Waltman welcome the opportunity to provide at-home-patient care to the four-legged members of your family. We believe that the level of service, knowledge, compassion, experience and care that our veterinary staff brings to your home will far exceed your expectations. MobileVet is a mobile veterinary service that provides personalized, professional veterinar

y care in the comfort, convenience, and privacy of your home. Having the veterinarian come to your home is less stressful and time consuming for both you and your pet. MobileVet was designed for dog and cat owners who prefer high quality, compassionate, in-home veterinary care over the traditional hospital visit. Working couples, families with children, multiple pet owners, the elderly or disabled, will all benefit from MobileVet's services. A veterinary house call minimizes disruption of your busy schedule and avoids hospital waiting rooms and exposing your pet to parasites and diseases. For some animals, the car ride to the veterinary clinic may be more stressful than the veterinary procedures done there. MobileVet provides a way for pets to remain at home with a familiar atmosphere, faces they know, and sounds and smells that belong to them. All of this makes the veterinary experience much more pleasant. We are equipped with a state-of-the-art mobile clinic that was completed February 2009, in Austin, Texas. The clinic was widely equipped with a diagnostic laboratory including blood work machines, blood pressure monitors, ECG, and many others. Our goal is to maximize the quality of life of your pet through preventative medicine, early disease detection and therapeutic intervention. Call (314) 566-6545 or email [email protected] with any questions about our service or to schedule an appointment and see for yourself the convenience of MobileVet.

Important MICROCHIP information!! Please Read!!
There has recently been concern with the microchip company Save This Life. It is unsure if the company has shut down, but has been unavailable via phone, email, etc. The BIGGEST concern is that they have UNLINKED their database from the national registries.
- What does this mean to you?
If your pet has a Save This Life microchip and were to become lost, there is NO way for a shelter or veterinary hospital to find your information.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- If your pet was microchipped by Crossroads Veterinary Hospital or MobileVet we use HomeAgain microchips and this does not pertain to you. Yay!!
- According to Save This Life’s website and the AKC Reunite press release Save This Life’s microchips start with the numbers 991 or 900164
- If you are unsure what microchip your pet has, we recommend having them scanned to see what their number is and if further action is needed.
- IF your pet does have a Save This Life microchip, please don’t worry, the microchip just needs to be RE-REGISTERED with a new company that is registered, searchable and findable. Several places that you can register them are HomeAgain, AKC Reunite, 24PetWatch, Petlink/DataMars, Buddy ID, AVID, freepetmicrochipregistry.com, or any of the companies at the following link
- https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary.../microchip-search/
- Some companies have free registrations or are offering affected owners discounts.
- Please know that the microchip still works! Microchips are radio-frequency identification transponders that carry a unique ID. That ID number can be registered in more than one database.
SUMMARY
- if your pet was microchipped by Crossroads or MobileVet then you are not affected by this. Yay!!
- Our recommendation is to have your pet’s microchip scanned for the microchip number and if it is a Save This Life microchip, then please re-register it with any of the AAHA’s member organizations.
Please let us know if you have any questions, we are happy to help, thats what we're here for!!
