🐾 Ever wonder what happens when your fur baby walks through our back doors? We know how tough it is to watch your pet go into the treatment area. It is completely normal to feel a little anxious, but we want to let you in on a little secret: your animals are absolutely showered with love behind the scenes! From the second they leave your side, they become part of our family.
Even during routine treatments, like getting subcutaneous (SQ) fluids, there is always a dedicated team member(s) holding a paw, offering gentle chin scratches, and giving endless reassurance.
Whether they are here for a quick test, fluids, or surgery recovery, we treat your pets exactly how we treat our own—with infinite patience, gentle hands, and a whole lot of love. ❤️ We’ve got them covered, every single step of the way!

🐾Bittersweet news today at River Valley Vet!🐾
It is time to say a huge goodbye and good luck to our amazing intern, Hannah, as she heads back to Pullman to prepare for her third year of vet school. 🎓
From jumping into emergency surgeries to giving our patients the absolute best care and cuddles, Hannah has been an invaluable part of our team. Our staff and patients are going to miss her energy, dedication, and passion so much! 🩺❤️

🇺🇸🎆 Happy 4th of July from all of us at River Valley Veterinary Center! 🐾❤️
While we love celebrating Independence Day, we know fireworks can be incredibly stressful for our furry friends. Keep your pets safe and comfortable this holiday by following these simple tips:
🏡 Create a Safe Space: Keep pets indoors in a secure, quiet room with the curtains drawn and the TV or music playing to mask loud noises.
📍 Double-Check IDs: More pets go missing on the 4th of July than any other day. Make sure your pet's collar, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date.
💊 Anxiety Relief: If your pet struggles with firework phobia, please make sure to give any calming chews or anxiety medications before the festivities begin.
🍖 Skip the Scraps: Keep picnic food—like bones, onions, and chocolate—away from curious pets.
⏰ Holiday Hours Reminder:
We will be Closed Saturday and Sunday and open again on Monday, July 6th at 8am. If your pet has a medical emergency while we are closed, please contact our after hours emergency line at (509) 779-6742 to reach our after-hours emergency answering service.
