It’s finally time to announce our June 2023 Summer Camp Dates!! ☀️ 🐴
Session 1: June 5-9
Session 2: June 12-16
Session 3: June 19-23

Campers will ride daily, learn about horse care, and work with our horses like thier very own! Campers will learn various animal skills, participate in a daily fun activity, and enjoy spending time at the farm. Space is limited to ten a session- let us know asap if you wish to reserve a spot. Camp will run 8-12, and is 450$ per camper!

We had one of the scariest nights we’ve ever had working with horses tonight, and every horse persons worst nightmare- we had a fire on Breakwater Farm property. Luckily, the fire was contained to the office, and no animals or people were harmed. We are so incredibly thankful to all our first responders, firefighters, sheriffs, and the community who rallied to quickly to come to our aid. The fire could have been much worse had it not been for local youth who were driving by and notified us and the authorities- these young people were our heroes tonight. They ran to the barn with us with no hesitation, moved horses and goats, enlisted and called friends to help, and worked with giant farm animals they were unfamiliar with under some less than ideal circumstances- this takes some insane bravery. If you know these people, if you are these people, we have no words- thank you isn’t enough.

We’re going to cancel our lessons for tomorrow, Tuesday April 4th, to allow us to regroup. Feel free to be in touch with any questions.

Thank you again to our community, and those that came out to help. We appreciate you more than we can express.

He will now be enjoying the best retirement with his owner, Marguerite, who we send endless thanks to for allowing him to spend these years with us! He truly is the best boy. Fall riding is just around the corner! This is a reminder that our Fall semester starts on 8/29. If you have not received a confirmation for your lesson day/time please let us know! Payment is due on or before the day of your first lesson via cash, check or Venmo -farm1. We would also like to remind everyone of our cancellation policy. Your instructor must receive 24hrs cancellation notice in order to qualify for makeup week at the end of the semester. Cancellations due to weather will be made at the discretion of the instructor.

At this time our program is FULL. If you would like to join our riding program you may pm us to be added to the waitlist.

We cannot wait to see everyone back at the barn next week!

Fall registration is now open for new students! We have a limited number of weekly lesson spots open in our 10 week Fall semester starting 8/29/22 and ending 11/6/22. We have availability for both group and private lessons of any level. They are first come first serve and expected to fill quickly. Registration will close on 8/15/22. We are so excited to host our Session 1 campers on Monday! Here are a few reminders to help make the most of your camp experience:

Drop off is at 8am at 2885 Sloop Point Loop Rd in Hampstead. Campers should plan on bringing appropriate riding attire, a snack, lunch, lots of water, a change of clothes for non riding activities, and closed toe shoes! Appropriate riding attire consists of long pants, sneakers or boots, and a short sleeved shirt. Bike helmets are not allowed, although we have plenty of riding helmets to borrow. Pick up is at 1pm. If you have not prepaid, please plan on bringing cash or check to the farm on the first day of camp (we do not accept credit cards). Payment can also be made via venmo -Farm1. Please let us know if you have any questions!
