Finally decided to cull my white and black litters today. Something interesting happened though. I only had 1 doe out of 10 rabbits. I've never had that happen before. Wonder if the early warm weather played a role in it.

28 fair kits in the nest boxes right now. Everyone has their eyeballs open and are so cute!! All 28 are currently spoken for. We're officially sold out of fair kits for this year! Super excited to be able to provide Catch-it rabbits for Morgan County Fair this year!!

Darn it all, this cold spell! Lost the whole litter last night. Mamma did a fantastic job since they all had full bellies.

Bred all 4 of our Cali does plus a "foster" doe. 3 took. 1 kindled on the cage floor, all 6 died. 1 had a stuck kit, all 4 died. 1 didn't show any indication of being bred, kindled 7, 1 doa. Now 2 of her beautiful kits died today, likely due to the cold. Dang it all!!

2 beautiful litters of Cali kits gone due to this horrid heat. We've never lost this many rabbits all at once before.
