This week, by chance, I came across a Facebook video about two babies who had been abandoned on the streets after their owners left the country and just left them in the streets.
I reached out to the person who made the post. Her name is Ninfa, and she runs a small animal shelter in Peru where she rescues stray dogs and cats. She feeds them, cares for them, heals them, and tries to find loving homes. Once one of them is adopted, she rescues another baby from the streets. I was able to bring food, beds, bowls, toys and cleaning supplies.

Ninfa currently has 2 babies with cancer and another who is paralyzed and used a wheelchair. Unfortunately those 3 babies might not get adopted. She makes and sells homemade turrones for 25 soles (about $6) each to help pay for their chemotherapy. She also makes little clothes for babies to buy food and cover medical needs for all the babies under her care. When there isn’t enough food, Ninfa sometimes exchanges a box of 12 turrones for a bag of dog food.

UPDATE: We were able to save the 2 babies left in the streets, one of them was neutered today!
