October 27 is a special day in the traditions surrounding Día de los Mu***os. It is believed that on this day, the spirits of our beloved pets return home to visit the people who loved them in life.
They return to familiar places, to the warmth of our memories, and to the hearts that have never stopped holding space for them. 🐈⬛
This is my beautiful Bella. Her bones now rest beneath glass, surrounded by butterflies, the symbols of transformation, remembrance, and the journey between life and death.
There is something profoundly beautiful about keeping our dead close. Not hiding death away, but honoring the physical remains of those who shared their lives with us.
Bella's life ended, but our relationship didn't. Love doesn't disappear when a heartbeat stops. It simply finds another way to exist. If the spirits of our animals really do return tonight, I hope Bella knows that she never needed a special day to be welcomed home. ❤️
For all the animals who have crossed from this life into memory, may they always find their way back to us.
