Grooming is about so much more than looking cute (although we love that part too!).

Regular grooming gives us the opportunity to keep an eye on your pup’s overall health. From new lumps and bumps to skin irritations, ear issues, changes in coat condition, and even sore spots, grooming appointments can help catch things you may not notice at home.

While we’re not veterinarians, we’re often one of the first people to notice when something seems different.

That Norman says, “I was told there would be treats.” 😍

Some pups walk into the grooming van a little nervous… and some arrive looking like they just won the lottery. This happy floof brought the smiles, the tail wags, and enough joy to brighten our entire day.

We may have the shampoo, brushes, and dryers, but this kind of happiness? That’s all them. ❤️

🏆 Barkwood Grooming Team Showing Up and Showing Out! 🏆

This weekend our groomers stepped into the U.S. Pet Pro Classic in Dallas and absolutely crushed it!

Akiko took 1st Place in the Bichon class and earned Best in Show!

Amber earned 2nd Place in the Bichon class.

Amber also brought home 1st Place in the Poodle class.

Akiko added another placement with 3rd Place in the Poodle class.

These competitions bring together some of the most talented groomers in the industry, and watching our team earn top placements against such incredible competition makes us beyond proud.

The dedication, practice, creativity, and passion these ladies bring to their craft every single day is what makes Barkwood special. Whether they’re competing on a national stage or pampering your pups in the Salon or our Mobile units, they always strive for excellence.

Please help us congratulate all of our groomers who participated, and a big shout out to Akiko and Amber on their amazing accomplishments! 🎉🐩✂️
